Chapter 11: Unexpected

           Taehyung knew Jungkook was angry, he was sitting on his throne, glaring at the man like he was crazy! Jimin was told not to pay him any attention until he was to perform and Jimin had to obey. Taehyung was the leader and he was the one who runned this circus, not the king.

            "Taehyung... I feel bad.. The king seems like he's getting angry.." Jimin whispered as Taehyung looked up to see Jungkook tapping his fingertips onto his throne in anger. "A-any second he can just get up and come up to you an-"

            "I don't care... He wanted a show, we give him a show. It's not fair that he only pretends there's only one performer and that's you..." Taehyung claimed. "He can't hurt me anyways.. He owns alot of things but not you or anyone else in this show." Taehyung smirked at Jungkook and waved already showing he won this.

                Jungkook moved his eyes to Jimin. Taehyung knew the king wanted Jimin... It was so odd how Jungkook only wanted Jimin and no one else. He claims he doesn't fall in love with people like Jimin but that's not what it was at all. Jungkook only thought Jimin was special that was it, right?

               By the time it came to Jimin's performance, he was the last to perform. Jimin stepped up nervously as the man who acts with Jimin, attatched him with strings as Jungkook sat up staring at Jimin. At that moment, many things came across Jimin's mind. "Is my outfit too tight? Will I mess up? If I do fall... Will he laugh?" Jimin thought as he waited on cue. As soon as the man pulled the strings, Jimin had to dance on the man's lead. He went over the routine with his partner and by now, they were able to perfect it.

            Jimin began to move in light ballet movements, it was a story he told with just his dancing and he had to only move on his partner's hand movements. If he was to move without the man pulling his strings, it would just ruin the whole act of him being a puppet... That's why his partner mattered.

             In the actual public circus shows, Jimin's partner is on a higher platform up the tented stage. He holds thick string like ropes and tugs it to keep pulling  Jimin's strings on time. Luckily during the private performance for the King, Jimin's partner was on stilts since he was one of the stilt performers in the circus acts. This was a bit difficult and Jimin had that slight fear if he was going to accidentally kick the man's stilts.. So he had to be very careful.

              As always, the Puppet dancer's performance was dark. His story, the emotion he tried to express was all sad but Jungkook only sat up on his throne staring at Jimin with a slight smile. He can feel the Ringmaster getting angry but Jungkook just couldn't look away. Jimin caught his gaze and he was all Jungkook hoped for.

              "Pst... Ringmaster.. calm down, we don't belong to the King... Only you. But please know, we are in his castle..." Hoseok whispered to Taehyung and he was able to calm the leader down. Once Jimin was done, the whole show in total was an hour of big and fun surprises! Jungkook stared at Jimin happily as Jimin blushed and returned the smile as he turned around and was ready to head back to the group and leave when... Jungkook stood up and stepped down the steps of his throne.

            "You...." Jungkook called out as Jimin's eyes widened. He turned around to see Jungkook pointing at him. "Please stay afterwards... I need to talk to you. It won't take long." Jungkook claimed as Jimin nodded. As Jungkook turned to the rest of the performers, he looked at all of them. "Thank you for coming out today... As soon as you leave you'll be paid each." Jungkook claimed as the performers nodded happily.

              Very soon they had to leave since they were done. Taehyung had to make another fake tone in his voice and close off the show as Sumi cheered gleefully holding a chocolate chip cookie and grape juice in her hands. Taehyung waved at the little girl and walked out with his performers as Jimin stayed behind. Following the King's words. Taehyung was angry and knew this was coming.. He knew one day the King was going to try and talk to Jimin. He just didn't expect him to do so now.

           "Why are you always angry? Be happy! Smile! We are going to get paid.. Jimin can catch up with us. He knows his way home!" Hoseok claimed as Taehyung just sighed.

                "He'll ask him to quit the contract and you know how that will go..." Taehyung said. "Remember when the other circus tried to keep you? I didn't let them go near you at all... It's not fair, Hope! and stop walking backwards... You'll get hurt!"

               "Ah, calm down! You get mad over nothing... Jimin is eventually going to come home and yo-" suddenly Hoseok bumped into someone making the person fall back and a huge stash of envelopes to fall onto the floor. It was Min Yoongi... He was there to hand the circus performers their pays in the royal envelopes. Hoseok flinched and quickly helped the man up. "I'm very sorry! I guess it was stupid of me to walk backwards."

            Yoongi gazed up to look the dancer in the eyes. "I-it's fine... Here, I was busy organizing these.." Yoongi claimed quickly picking up the envelopes and handing the stack over to Hoseok. "Did we meet before?" Yoongi asked as Hoseok let out a laugh and nodded.

             "Of course we did! You delivered the invitation to me." Hoseok claimed as Yoongi nodded and looked to see the Ringmaster just waiting until Yoongi was to leave.

             "I hope to see you around more often! My daughter loves the circus.. She was in the throne room watching the performance." Yoongi claimed as Taehyung sighed and rolled his eyes taking the rest of the envelopes for the performers since Hoseok was busy talking to the Castle's staff.

             "Yes, I've seen her! She's really pretty and very calm. She loved our perfomances!" Hoseok claimed as Yoongi held out his hand to shake with Hoseok.

              "My name is Min Yoongi, I'm glad that you came out today. I was thinking of going to one of the public circus performances with my daughter."

             Hoseok shaked Yoongi's hand. "My name is Jung Hoseok! Oh, and you really should come out to see our full performances live! It gets pretty packed out there so I'll be sure to save you and your daughter the best seats in the house!" Hoseok smiled as Yoongi looked down to see they were still holding hands. No longer shaking it.

            "Sorry.." Yoongi claimed as he pulled his hand away with his cheeks slowly tinting red. "But thank you and I will be sure to show up on your next performance!" Yoongi stated as he walked up to the throne room doors to finally see his daughter and ask her if she enjoyed it.

            Meanwhile, something stained onto Hoseok's mind and it was the smile Min Yoongi gave. It was such an alluring smile he had plastered on his face when he realized they were holding hands for far too long. Yoongi thought he made things awkward, but Hoseok thought this unaccustomed moment they had right there was a start of something new.
