"Where are all the scum that inhabit this place?" Asks the queen.

"Ma! Don't call them that." Says Hayley.

"Foolish lass. Don't forget that these are not your people. They might have been Cian's people but they are not mine." Answers the queen.

Hayley sighs as she sees one of the workers walking by. Before she does anything, the queen orders the guards to arrest him for questioning.

Earlier on...

"Your majesty, I am afraid I have some bad news." Says the general.

"Speak up general. What is it?" Says the queen.

"You should sit down first your majesty..."

"Speak or disappear!" She hisses.

With a deep sigh, he says, "All the workers left. There is not even a single one on the fields and we cannot go to the neighbouring kingdom to look for them because it will spark a war your majesty."

She takes a sip of her tea and sighs. "So those ungrateful fools think they can get their way eh? I will show them. Ready the carrige, we are going out!"

The general bows and and walks out briskly. Unable to contain herself, she throws the cup of tea against the wall and it breaks just as Hayley enters the room.

"Ma! Calm down! What is the meaning of this?" Asks Hayley.

"I suspect that this is the doing of that wretched soul. Even as she rots she is still intent on getting on my nerves!" She replies.

The guards drag the worker to the cell where they had once kept Olivia and lock him up as they await the queen.

The queen slowly walks into the cell chambers and all the guards bow but the worker stands up and looks her up and down.

With her wicked smile, she says, "Now peasant. Let me tell you something about this very cell. It was once inhabited by a young lady who dared defy me and if you do the same, well, you will end up like her. Just a gentle reminder."

"The only thing I fear is having to look at yah disgraceful face everyday. I would rather yah cut off me head than torturing me like this." Says the worker.

He receives a beating before the queen holds up his face and says, "Now tell me, where are all the workers?"

"Not even on me life would I tell yah, even if I knew. If yah haven't gotten their message then yah have no business askin' me." He answers with a shrug.

"Very well," she closes the cell door and tells the guards, "you heard what he said. Deal with him as you should."

Bartley and Elsa come back from the market and as they ride across the field they notice lady Afric packing up her things.

"Hoy! What are yah doing there Lady Afric? Have a journey?" Asks Bartley.

"Oh no me boy. It is even a good thing yah here. This is no journey boy. This is a revolution." She says.

"A revolution? What does that mean?" Asks Elsa.

"No time for questions lass. If I was you, I would pack up and leave as well." She replies and climbs on her carriage and rides off.

Bartley then remembers and says in almost a whisper, " Oh this is bad." Then he kicks diablo to go forward and they reach their home and start packing.

"Pa, what's going on?" Askes Elsa.

"Do yah have yah ma's journal sweet pea?" He asks.

"Yes pa."

"Then it's all in there sweet pea. Let's go." He says as he helps her up on diablo and climbs up behind her.
