I am so happy that Bartley told me how he felt about me. I told him I feel the same ofcourse.
I don't know how i'm gonna be with him. I prefer him to the pigs my parents are trying to saddle me with.
I can't wait to get away from this castle. I didn't ask to be born a royal but it is the life I have to put up with.
Mother had tried getting me married off to an english prince. I have always known she wants to get rid of me, no surprise there.

There is alot of commotion in the village. I wonder what on earth is going on there.
Papa comes to fetch me to be outside, says the royal messenger will be passing by any minute.
The royal messenger then passes by and throws a letter at us.
"The royals invite all to the coronation of Hayley, the princess as the new queen, signed the royal highnesses." It reads.
I fold it and give it to papa, "I'm not going. Besides, diablo needs some company." I say.
He rolls his eyes at me and goes back inside the barn to continue his work. Our barn had become the go to place for repairs and just as papa said, egg selling.
I decide to go back to reading ma's journal as I brush diablo gently.

"Do you think anyone will come mother?" Asks Hayley.
"They have no choice dear. I'm glad you agreed to mary from home. There is no better ruler than you dear." Says the queen,"So don't fail me." She adds.
Hayley then fakes a smile at her and walks out of the chambers. 'Soon my love. We will show them what we are.' She says to herself and walks slowly to the main room.
She finds her mother and Henry already chatting jovially. Who wouldn't? He is quite the charmer.
"We were just talking about yah lass. Good old Henry here was telling me a bit about his wife to be." Says the queen as she winks at him.
"All good things I hope. He is known to exaggarate most things." Says Hayley sitting beside him.
"What more would I say rather than I adore this fine lass?" Says Henry laughing a little.

"Welcome to the Black Castle ma'am. Gerald speaks volumes about yah." Says Merideth.
She is a fine woman with deep set hazel eyes and high cheek bones, a size 4 as far as I can tell and has a bubbly personality.
"Thankyou me lady. He speaks volumes of yah too. He chose well." I say.
"Oh he couldn't resist this rump." She says making me laugh. "Come. I will show yah where you will be staying." She adds.
As I sit on the massive bed, a familiar thing which I had lacked for thirteen years, I stare at the chambers and start to wonder, what now?
"Gerald went through the trouble of buyin yah some gowns and corsets and shoes. Feel free to wash up and explore." Says Merideth.
"Thankyou, Merideth is it?" I say, she nods and closes the door behind her. It was now time to live again.
