The sun set as I skated down the streets aimlessly. My head was crammed with so many thoughts and stresses in my life; the only way to clear it was skating. My beaten up skateboard was rolling down the pavement as I stared blankly at the ground trying to sort out my head. Suddenly my front wheels hit a dent in the street and I flew forward. I skidded onto my side and painfully hit my ankle on the ground. I groaned slowly and checked for any broken bones. My beanie and phone were scattered on the street and my board was slowly rolling to a stop near my feet. My bare knees were cut up and the left sides of my legs were skinned off.
“Shit,” I said to myself. I was about to grab my beanie off the ground when I heard someone coming up behind me. Before I could turn around a dark figure skated by and took off with my phone.
“Hey!” I yelled out and grabbed my board and went after him. “Wait! Stop!” I yelled. I was skating as fast as I could but all I could hear was the boys taunting laughter. I could feel the anger and stress seeping out of me as I caught up to him. With one powerful motion I jumped towards the boy toppling both of us off our boards. I landed on top of him and grabbed my phone from his hand. I raised my clenched fist ready to leave a shiner on his face when he grabbed my wrist and stopped me.
“Hey, hey! I’m sorry!!!! Calm down,” he said. The boy had messy jet black hair covered by a red beanie and tan skin with big brown eyes. I yanked my hand away and hovered over his face.
“You’re lucky I’m not going to call the police,” I said with a menacing look, shoving myself off of him.
