I set the bowls and spoons and cleaned up the coffee table.
"How did you do that?" Calum demanded. I shrugged.
"I've eaten worse," I smiled. "Plus I don't like to lose," I added. Luke laughed.
"Now I know why you like her. She's just as crazy as you!" I shot him a glare and Calum punched his arm.
"Not gonna lie I can get pretty competitive," I said. "Where's the bathroom?" I asked. Calum pointed to a door beside the stairs. I walked in and closed the door. After washing my mouth of as much sour onion as I could, I began to hear music playing from behind the door and went back into the basement. The guys had set up their music equipment and were playing random tunes on the couches. I sat back down with Calum who brought his guitar with him.
"What are you guys doing?" I asked. Calum looked up from his guitar.
"We always do midnight jam sessions," he replied. I sat up and checked my phone.
"Crap," I said. The time was 12:30 AM. "I have to get home," I said gathering my things.
"Are you sure you don't want to stay over?" Michael asked. I shook my head.
"Maybe another time guys," I said.
"Yeah it's getting pretty late," Calum said, getting up as well.
"It was nice chilling with you," Michael said, giving me a hug. "Be careful with Calum, he can be shit," he joked. I laughed with him as Calum was shaking his head.
"We should do this again sometime," Ashton smiled, picking me up again in a big hug. I giggled.
"We should," I said back. I hugged Luke last. He put his long arms around me and swayed me back and forth.
"See ya Y/N," he said.
"Bye guys," I waved as I went upstairs with Calum. "You're friends seem cool," I said, walking out onto the lawn. He smiled.
"They can be. But they can also be total dicks," he added. I giggled. I grabbed my board and turned to him.
"Well, I'll guess I'll see you around?" I asked. He looked at me oddly.
"Where do you think you're going?" he asked. I pointed down the street.
"Uhh... home?" I said confused. He shook his head.
"Well if you're going to walk off this late at night, I'm going with you. I don't want anyone to mug your phone for real," he joked. I sighed.
"Give me your phone," it said. He backed away slightly.
"What? Why?" he asked. I held out my hand.
"Just hand it over," I said sternly. Calum sighed and pulled out his phone from his back pocket. I typed something in and gave it back to him. "There, now you can call me to check if I'm alive or not," I said. He looked down at his phone and shook his head.
"Mmm... nope, come on I’m giving you a ride," he said certainly and started walking over to his car.
"What? I don't get a say in this?" I called after him.
"Nope," he said and got into his car. "Let's go!" I shook my head and smiled.
"I'm coming."
