I followed the boys into a downstairs basement where a massive practice room was set up. Multiple instruments and recording microphones were set up to one side of the room. On the other side were couches surrounding a TV and mini kitchen and living area with video games and movies collected beside it.
"So this is where we live," Ashton said and they all sat on the couches. I took the couch with Calum, Luke took the single, and Ashton and Michael took the floor. We opened the pizza and started to eat. Michael and Ashton decided to play fifa and Luke was on his phone.
"So," Calum said, finishing up his second slice. "You're parents cool with you staying over?" he asked. I started to pick at the toppings of my pizza.
"Yeah, they really don't care where I'm at really," I said. He nodded his head in understanding.
"Yeah, my parents are hardly ever with me. It's just me and the guys," he said. I looked at him sympathetically.
"Well it seems pretty cool to me," I said with a smile. He smiled back.
"It really isn't," he joked. "Heard that," the other three said. I laughed. "So this is all you guys do every single day?" I asked. They all nodded their head, not taking their eyes off of their games. I looked around and sighed. I got up from the couch and opened the refrigerator rummaging through the contents. Calum turned around and looked at me curiously. I moved a few bottles and found what I was looking for.
"What are you going to do with that?" Calum asked as I came back with a jar of pickled onions. I paused the game Ashton and Michael were on causing a few groans.
"I'm mixing things up a bit," I said. I placed the jar in the middle of the coffee table and the boys crowded around. "Okay, we are going to play a game of chicken," I said and handed each of them a spoon and a bowl. "It's really easy, you stick one onion into your mouth and whoever keeps it in the longest, wins," I stated. I looked around the table. Calum, Michael, Luke, and Ashton had mixed faces of terror and disgust.
"I am not playing this game," Calum said.
"Me neither," said Luke.
"I'm out too," Michael said already reaching for his controller. Ashton looked at the boys.
"I'm up for it," Ashton said happily.
I smiled. "See, I knew I liked Ashton the most," I said and gave him a hug. "The other guys are just pussies," I giggled. Oh shit. The three guys quickly whipped their heads towards me.
"What did you say?" Calum asked.
"Oh nothing," i said rolling my eyes. Calum nodded his head slowly.
"Babies," I coughed. Michael and Luke looked up from their games. Calum, Michael, and Luke, all exchanged silent glances.
"Fine," Luke said, and they all took their places around the table. I clapped my hands happily.
"Okay guys!" I said and presented each of them a small squishy onion.
"Why do you even have pickled onions?" Ashton said, balancing his on a spoon.
"Well you don't eat them like this!" he argued. The boys each had an onion in front of them and I did the same.
"Oh wait!" I said and took out my phone. I placed it at the corner of the table and pressed record. "There, now we can watch it back and laugh at your faces," I laughed.
Calum scoffed. "You mean YOUR faces, I'm gonna win this thing," he said, determined. Luke and Michael laughed.
"You? You couldn't even handle that sushi we had!" Michael said.
"Hey! That was NOT sushi," Calum responded. I shushed them.
"Let's just get this done!"I said. "Ready," I said and we all put the spoons to our mouths. "Get set," I said. The boys sniffed it.
"Ugh, it smells," Ashton whispered. We all laughed.
"GO!" I yelled and we all stuck the onions in our mouths. The sour, rotten smell filled my whole mouth and my eyes started watering. I looked around at the boys and almost choked. Calum's eyes were closed shut and his lips were puckering. Luke had his mouth partially open and he was whispering,
"Oh my God,oh my God, oh my God", he groaned with his mouth full. Michael was slightly chewing, a disgusted look on his face. Ashton was the only one who was holding it together, having a straight face trying not to taste it. There was a short silence before Calum covered his mouth and shook his head.
"Ohhhh I can't do it," he laughed. He was shaking his head and gagged a little.
"Eww Cawum don't oo tha," I said, trying not to spit out the onion. Calum grabbed a bowl and spit out all of the contents that was in his mouth. Luke was already reaching for Calum.
"Get me one, Calum give it," he said, and spit out the onion. We were all laughing at this point but I was still determined to win. Michael was chewing the onion and shook his head. Luke handed him the bowl and he was out.
"That's disgusting," he shuddered.
"Why did you bite it?" Ashton laughed. Michael just shook his head. Ashton and I looked at each other and we turned face to face.
"Ooh, its down to two!" Michael said. Calum took my phone and zoomed up at the two of us. Ashton had the look of determination but I knew I was going to win. I scooted up to him so that our noses were almost touching and blew out of my mouth right in his face. Ashton jolted back and spit out the onion in his mouth. Calum, Luke and Michael were practically peeing themselves on the couch from Ashton's reaction. I jumped up in victory and spit the onion in the bowl.
"Ewwwww," Ashton said. and wiped his nose.
"Aww Ash, what happened?" Calum asked, zooming up on his face.
"The onion smell was too much," he frowned.
