Chapter 5:The Truth About My Past

River's pov

She fainted I can't believe Andrew did that. I realized what was happening to her, I need to tell them about her past. The truth which I knew. The others might not listen right now though. They're so concentrated on Lisa I think I got lost in the crowd. Except Andrew pulled me aside to talk to me.

"Hey, what do you need?", I asked

He replied,"I need to know every detail of her past even the truth. So I can tell them, so they won't worry when this happens. Also can you tell Lisa I said I was sorry for doing that. I didn't know that would happen."

I said,"Sure. I'll try my best to recall everything I know."

I began with when I just met her when she said I have to run. Then I told him everything I knew especially the part of the FCP mutating her DNA to match that of a neko girl's. I thought while I was saying these truths. 'Lisa I hope you can forgive me. But they need to know now. I just hope they don't react the way I don't hope them to.' After I told him. He reacted like I hoped he wouldn't. Except his reaction was not to call the FCP, but to wake up Lisa and ask her if she could explain to everyone why she was running from the FCP.

Lisa's pov

Andrew woke me up with a splash of water. When I woke up he gave me a few.

Then he asked,"Hey Lisa could you explain to the team why you were running from the FCP? And if you don't mind truthfully."

I said,"Sure if that's what the team wants? Tell them to gather in the living room back at the tower and I'll explain everything."

I walked right past Robin inside and told him what was going on. I asked him to understand what I was about to say to him and the team before I actually do this.

Robin asked,"Are you sure you want to tell us exactly why? I mean that's the truth about your past. Are you sure your ready to confront your past?"

I replied,"Yes. I want people that I'm working with to know the truth about me. And I especially want someone I love to know." I kissed him on the cheek and he stood still. He just stared at me. I ran to the living room with tears threating to come out. I bumped into Raven in the living room. I apologized to her. She looked at me as if she picked up on my pain.

Raven asked,"You better change your emotions before the team sees. I know what your feeling. Here they come and you're going to tell us something about your past?"

I said,"Yes, I feel everyone needs to know this."

When everyone was in the living room, I began to explain my origin and why I was running from the FCP. "Well I was the daughter of one of the scientists his name was James. He's dead now though because the others killed him to be able to experiment on me. They got me into a machine that would transfuse my blood with the blood of a neko girls. Let's say their experiment was successful. They wanted to use me to make more but to do this with boys instead of girls. I refused to help, them that's where I got this mark on my shoulder. It's a brand that states I betrayed my father and everyone there. I escaped that night before they could add the property of part to the brand. That's why I've been running from them for half my life. I'm 14 currently, and I've been running ever since I was seven. Now you know everything about me and the truth of where I'm from."

BeastBoy said,"so they are after you because they want you back there for more experiments. Ok now that's it! We are never gonna tell them where you are. And we are never gonna turn you in. Your a Teen Titan now along with River and that means you guys are apart of the team and apart of this family like thing we have. Right everyone?"

"That's right BB.", Cy agreed. Everyone agreed and so did Robin. Andrew went over and kissed River. They both turned so red but she didn't care. She just put her arms around his neck. He had his arms around her waist.

I half laughed. "Oh would you two get a room!" River stopped and pushed him away and he fell. Andrew just through a gust of wind at her. It would have become a battlefield if I hadn't of jumped in front of it. I was trust into the wall and not hurt naturally. Everyone was surrounding me, I said I was fine. Robin noticed I was limping. He swept me off my feet and set me on the medical bed.

Robin's pov

She told everyone she was fine. But she was limping, Cy noticed too. I was the only one who actually decided on doing something. I picked her up and cradled her the way I Cy did with Raven once.

She yelled,"Robin what are you doing? Put me down now!!"

I did what she asked as soon as we got to the medical room. I set her down on the medical bed.

I said,"You hurt your ankle when you hit the wall. It looks like you sprained it. I'll wrap it up and you can use those crouches over there."

She asked,"Whose were those, who got injuried?"

I answered."They were mine once. I got hurt when I crashed my bike out on a little arien I needed to run."

When I was done wrapping her ankle, I grabbed the crouches they had the cloth I used. I replaced them with a new cloth. I told her the cloths were for comfort and so she didn't hurt herself. I helped her practice, when she got the hang of it we went back to the living room. River was surprisingly the one who was cooking dinner because Cy and the others were swarming Lisa like bees to flowers. Andrew was apologizing to her like crazy.

She said,"It's not your fault I jumped in front. So basically it's my fault not yours."

I thought, 'Lisa you're to modiste, and so forgiving. Why did she know how to react? Had she done this before?' The alarm rang and what do ya know High Five were at it again. I told Lisa to stay on the couch and said that it was an order. She glared at me. She'd get over it. The team left with River and I so we could go and stop High five.

Cy's pov

When we got back Lisa was passed out on the couch. Dinner was done, it was a traditional Japanese yakisoba meal. It was delicious. River said she forgot about her noodles and that they must have burnt. I think that's why Lisa made this meal. Even though she was not to leave the couch. Robin said not to leave the tower. He said nothing about the couch. I woke Lisa up.

I said,"Lisa, thanks for making that yakisoba for all of us. It was delicious. Where were you before you came here anyway?"

She replied,"I was born in a city in Japan. So I was in Japan before I came here. I learned English when I was just five. My mom and dad came from the us and moved to japan before I was born. I learned this meal when I was seven years old. So yeah I know it's good cause it's my grandmother's recipe she is actually from Japan."

I replied. "Thanks for that history lesson. You can go back to bed now. We're all going to head to bed and you're not sleeping on the couch tonight. You're sleeping in your own room. I prepared it. Well.......actually Robin made it."

She hugged me and Robin with a little kiss on the cheek for him. It was fine besides Starfire gave me a kiss when Rob wasn't looking Andrew looked at us. River pulled him to her room because he didn't have a room yet. Robin helped her to her room and gave her a kiss on the forehead, goodnight. I went to bed along with Robin.

"So, she's pretty. I saw you kiss her forehead. Do ya like her?", I teased. Rob turned red. He said no. Which I knew he was lying but I left him alone for now. We parted ways when we got to my room. I went in and lied down on my bed. I fell asleep.

The teen titans fell asleep. Will River and Andrew stop trying to fight with each other for once? Will Robin tell the truth about his feelings or will he keep lying to the team and himself? Not to spoil anything, Robin will tell Lisa soon and the team soon as well. Andrew and River will eventually get along and hopefully stop trying to fight each other.
