Chapter 24

At the Tower

Cy's pov

I woke up and walked to Lisa's room where Kanin was staying. I knocked and it just opened. Kanin was still in bed. He looked a little younger when he slept. His ears were twitching, it was cute. He got up when he heard me in the room.

"Hey Cy", he greeted

"Hey Kanin, how'd you sleep?", I asked

"Not to well. I just got to sleep. I can't sleep when my sister''s in trouble.", He replied

"Why am I not surprised.", I said. He gave me a confused look.

I said, "what I mean is that you're a big brother. You're gonna worry. Trust me I was one once. I worried constantly about my sibling. Kanin, it'll be ok. She's strong, she'll be ok."

"I know I shouldn't worry but I can't help it. She's always needed me but now I guess she's not my little sister anymore. She's older now, but I will still love her no matter how old she gets. She will always be my little princess and I will always be her Ni-chan.", He explained to me.

"Well if that's how you feel let's go get your little princess back.", I say. He nods and we head out to save them. I left a note saying where we were going and not to follow us. I ran out the door and Kanin followed.

Kanin's pov

Cy ran out the door and I followed. He told me to get in the T-car. I was hesitant at first but I eventually got in. My fear of driving came along when I was ten. The car crashed. Only me and Lisa made it out alive. I held on to the 'help me I'm going to die' handle, shaking in the passenger seat. Cy only laughed at me.

"What you afraid to ride in a car?", Cy mocked.

"Y-yes!", I stutter.

He asked, "why?"

I thought, why'd he have to say why. Ok just tell him and you'll feel better.

"A car crashed when I was ten. Me and Lisa barely made it out alive! That's why I'm afraid. WOULD YOU SLOW DOWN!!!!!", I yelled.

I started hyperventilating. He slowed down and passed me a bag to breath in. My breathing slowed after a while but I still held on to that handle till we got to where they were. I only know because my sister can put thoughts in my head. So she put the location in my head. Thank you little sister. , I thought. Cy told me we were going to go round back which was where they were. Cy created a distraction while I went round back. When I saw Lisa in a cage. I naturally found the rest too. She look my way and gasped. She was definitely happy to see me. River shot me a hopeful glare. I knocked out all the guards and went to the cage.

"Hey guys, let's get you out of here.", I said.

"I can't believe I'm gonna say this but I'm glad to see you.", Andrew and River said in unison.

"Gee I feel loved now.", I said sarcastically. I ripped the lock off the cage door and got them out. We ran to the T-car. I hopped into the drivers side. I drove the car to where Cy was. He hopped in. There were people blocking our path. I saw a Turning lane and saw an opportunity.

I said, "Hang on. And when all of you back there can drive never do this." I swerved into the turning lane and we were speeding towards the tower. I kept the car at the speed limit when we were far away from the bad guys.

Lisa's pov

My brother said, "Is everyone ok back there?"

I replied, "Yeah more or less."

We sped back to the tower and what was waiting for was not going to be pleasant.
