Chapter 16: Where on earth are we?

Lisa pov

I woke up and I was tied to a chair, and I was staring at River. She was staring at me, it was not a pretty sight. Her hair was in disarray and blood was oozing from her wounds. I couldn't look but I had to, they did what they did to my big brother, Kanin. I tried to reach her, thank god for my tail. I tickled her foot, cause was all I could reach. She laughed, and I was feeling relief that she was not dead. I heard someone coming in the room, I looked in that direction, and saw you'd never guess who. It was my ex-best friend, Ariana. She looked well taken care of cause she sold me out a year ago. I will never get over that betrayal.

I hissed,"What are you doing here?" She laughed at me, and stuck a needle in my arm. She drew blood from me, and I screamed from the pain of the needle being stuck in my arm.

She said,"There. Now we have all of our research back, and it's all in your blood Lisa. Now we can synthesize your blood to make a serum to give to Slade's soldiers to make them stronger. It doesn't matter if you lose your powers on a specific day we can take care of that little mistake. By the way, the first experimental serum came from your brother's blood. His screams will always be a delight to me. He died trying to protect your mother's secret, and saving you. Poor boy, oh well."

I yelled with tears in my eyes,"Traitor! You're nothing more than a Traitor! You know once there done with you they'll kill you! Just like they did with the others!" She slapped me and walked away laughing.

River said,"Lisa, are you ok?"

I said,"No she talked about my brother like he were still here. I really want to kill that witch, but that would make no better than her. Well enough about me. Are you ok, you're bleeding?"

River pov

I noticed I had bled a lot cause there was a bucket of blood right next to the chair. I nodded, but of course I was lying. I didn't want her to know how much it hurts to have you're blood drawn from you the hard way. I thought we could avoid this fate, but obviously we can't. I thought, Why do my dreams have to come true at some points in time? My dream is becoming a reality, and it's not the exact way my dream went. So maybe something was different. That's right the titans weren't with us in my dream but they were when we got captured. Hopefully they come to get us wherever we are.

I asked,"Hey Lisa, where in the world are we?"

She replied,"I have no clue. Did you dream about this?"

I answered,"Yes I did. I didn't think it was anything important."

She yelled,"Really?! You've got to be kidding me! So you don't remember anything from you stupid. . ." I cut her off before she finished her sentence.

I asked,"Do you smell that?"

She said,"Yeah it's kind of an overpowering stench to me. Why do you remember this smell?"

I exclaimed,"Yes I do! It's hickory!"

She said,"Well what does that have to do with anything?"
