Chapter 25
It was a winter wonderland.
It was cold, but she could hardly feel it with the charms around them for heat. The only muggles there was her family, so the use of magic wasn't forbidden, it was beautiful.
It was finally the day of her wedding and she didn't know how to feel, she felt incredible - relaxed, even and just happy with everything falling into place.
"You look..." he was lost for words, her oldest brother with tears streaming down his face and his hair styled perfectly even with the snow that once fell around them outside and she smiled, she beamed at him, "you look like mum."
She tried not to let her eyes burn with tears but at his words, she simply couldn't help it.
The box yesterday that contained her mother's wedding dress was something she never thought she would ever find, and she didn't - it was all Alina, and her plan that she had thought of ever since she found out they would be returning to their old home.
It wasn't big, it wasn't puffy it was something her mother would wear that she just knew it was hers even without true confirmation. Judy must have kept it perfect throughout the years because it was perfect, it was white and flowed to the ground with a tightness around her middle and the arms too that covered with a beautiful intricately woven lace.
Her back was exposed right down to the end of her spine and at the bottom was a small band that Alina had added of diamond alternatives wrapped around the bump that still shown on display even with the fabric, and Adria didn't mind it.
She didn't mind the bump showing because the life inside of her was a part of her and she wanted that much on display as anything else.
Her hair fell down her back too in a braid that Lily did for her and topped off with crisp white and pale blue flowers that dotted over the braid, and loose ringlets framed her face. Her make-up she did on her own, it was a lot of work she had practised before, and she pulled it off because she was determined to make her day perfect, it was her day.
"You really do look incredible," Benji choked back the sob. He was one of Sirius' best men with James, Remus and Peter too and when Sirius told Adria this she cried, and she remembered their conversation way back in third year when she and Sirius were barely friends and they planned a wedding as a joke with their friends.
She squeezed Benji's hand, soon throwing her arms around him tightly whilst he tried everything he could not to cry, "I love you, Benji."
"I love you too, Addy," the boy laughed softly, bidding her a goodbye as well as the others and making his way out of the small building the park offered. It was where she had been preparing herself, calming her nerves and making sure everything was perfect.
Lily was doing all that she could to set up, it was noon, but she had been there since five in the morning to make everything perfect for her best friend. She had been dressed for hours, and she was making sure that Alina was dressed, who was Adria's bridesmaid too.
"Are you ready?" Alfie asked, taking a deep breath. He had been given the task to watch Jude and Mila who was the flower girl. The girl was just turning two and was finally walking on her own, so with a beautiful dress that May had made for her, she was to be the first to walk down the aisle and Adria was ecstatic about it.
She wanted as many of her family to be in the wedding as possible, and with Lia as her bridesmaid too, she was happy that she had everyone she could. She wanted all of her friends to be in it somehow, and Finn and Milo were best men too - Sirius said that if he could have them all then he would be fine with it, but the makeshift alter would have been far too crowded with every single one of their friends.
