[A/N hey everyone. so i'm just going to start off by saying thank you!! because Poems reached 500k which is HALF A MILLION and i'm honestly so happy and grateful and if i could thank each individual reader personally i definitely would💛

Second of all, it's Poems anniversary!! well the official anniversary is august 13th and it's technically the 14th for me BUT IN SOME PARTS OF THE WORLD ITS THE 13th so HAPPY 1 YEAR POEMS!!!

in order to celebrate that year i wondered what i could do without it being too stressful (according to myself i apparently overwork myself??? pfft what?!) so i decided over the course of the 12th and the 13th (and some of the 14th but in the space of 48 hours anyway) i wrote 9 chapters of dark beauty because of course, it is the sequel to poems!!

it took me from august until may to write poems which is nine months, so i decided to write a chapter for each month of writing poems.

so i hope you all enjoy reading them!!]

Chapter 9

"I look cooler than you," Adria commented as she stuffed her hands into the pockets of her denim jacket that she wore over her dress. She was trying to imitate Sirius beside her who was sporting his leather jacket, though the wicker basket he was holding didn't give off a cool effect.

"Impossible," Sirius scoffed, tightening his grip on her hand as they walked down the London street on their way to the park they loved. It was an unusually sunny day for November, not warm enough for shorts and t-shirts but warm nonetheless that on the two's date all alone the teenagers decided that they would have a picnic.

Sirius used his wand to create recipes he had stolen from Mrs Potter on a visit with James only a few months after finishing school whilst Adria watched with a wide smile and a swollen heart whilst the boy hummed to himself, completely oblivious to his girlfriend watching from the doorway of their kitchen.

Jude was not happy in the slightest that he wasn't allowed to join them on the twos picnic but Lily promised the boy that they would go for ice cream and when the red head made sure Jude know it would be strawberry ice cream - much to Adria's dismay - the toddler was very much onboard with the days plans.

"I don't like leaving Jude, y'know," Adria sighed, turning to face Sirius who soon nodded in agreement, pulling on her hand in order for her to fall into him so that he could press his lips to her forehead in a lingering kiss, "you'd think it'd be a little bit easier since we left to go to Hogwarts, y'know, we left him every year and obviously it was hard, bloody hell it was terrible but it seems worse.

Thing is, I know he's safe...merlin he's with Lily and James! but I just feel as though I should be with him as much as I can, after what happened when he started nursery, I just feel horrible even thinking about leaving him."

"He keeps asking about dad," Sirius whispered. He didn't know if it was odd to think of Douglas as a father figure of his own but the man used to call him his son in law countless times. Sirius wondered if the man knew how much it meant to him to hear those words come out of his mouth.

Douglas always knew.

"I'm not ready to go to his grave, Sirius, not just yet," Adria spoke after a few moments of the silent walking, trying not to bump into the many strangers on the busy London streets, "he asks me almost every day when his dad is coming home...that the party lasted too long and now he wanted him back I just don't know what to say. You can't say to a toddler that their dad is never coming home, but I just don't see many other options!"
