It was just Ash and I. I was regretting ever thinking that I loved Ben. Nothing will ever be the same with me.
Ash had explained to me everything that has happened. Turns out that Ben and Ash had gotten along quite well. They had their arguments of course, but they were fine. All the arguments revolved around me, so they decided not to talk about it and wait until I had made a decision. They had recently started fighting again because of what happened with Adrian about him killing one of them. This time Adrian had told us he would kill one of them, or both of them. Then they started fighting. Ben had apparently said a lot of lies because he had said everything Ash and Adrian said. That was when he told the truth. Since Ben didn't die, we had no reason to go back to the village, so we were further than we were. That was it.
"Ash, when we were younger and everything, do you know how you were found?" I asked.
"Yea. It was you. You were very young and it was a full moon. You couldn't control your transformations. You were wondering away from the pack, and then you found me. I was hurt and lost, so you howled and brought the pack to me. They healed me. You then started not liking me because of Adrian, but were good friends once. I miss those days. They were simple and they made sense. Now Adrian is a madman, you and I are far away from the pack, and you aren't even looking like yourself. Even your wolf transformation is different. The only thing about you that is remotely the same is your scent. That is why those wolves in the forest didn't attack you, but the others would've attacked you, so we decided to let you get back to your original self before you went back," he said.
That was a lot of information to take in, but I understood a lot of things now. In the other life Ash and Ben were brothers because he probably found them. I didn't find him. I don't know how that happened either. Then I can't go back home because I don't look like me and who knows what will happen. I need to find myself first.
"How close are we to another cave?" I asked.
"There's one about 50 miles ahead," he said.
"Well then let's get a move on."
We transformed and went on our way.
