Chapter 23

It was another full moon tonight. It felt the same compared to others. I then had a thought in my head. I decided to keep quiet until I thought it was necessary. Then Ash stopped, and I didn't see it coming therefore I bumped into him.

"Why did we stop?" I asked in my head.

We then transformed and got dressed. I asked him again.

He looked at me like I was stupid. "A cave. This one feels different. Do you feel the energy radiating from it?" He asked.

"No I feel nothing," I said while he looked at me with a confused look.

"Well I have a feeling that something will happen tonight," he said. He looked at me and studied my face, "Hey, are you okay?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"What if nothing happens? What if nothing ever happens? What if I can never return back home to the pack? What if something happens and then my memory is erased again? There's too many risks for you to stay with me. You need to go to the pack and I'll keep looking for the cave. Maybe then-" he interrupted me.

"No, I am not leaving you. I am staying. My home is where you are. It has always been with you. You are my life. So what if you look different. So what if you loose your memory again. I know who you are. I can always help you."

"I don't care. You are leaving. I need to do this on my own. I can do this. I don't need you right now. I will find my way back to you."

"But-"

"No buts. I am going to do this on my own. I need to do this on my own. This isn't about you whatsoever. It's all got to do with me. I need to prove to myself I can handle this," I said with complete determination in my voice.

He saw the look in my eyes and knew he couldn't do anything.

"Alright. Where should I go?" He asked.

"Back to the pack. That is where you belong. If I don't make it then you need to find someone else."

"NO. You will make it. I believe in you. You are a strong, smart, independent woman who can do all sorts on things if she puts her mind to it. You can do this," he said.

"Thanks. Now go before I completely kick your butt."

He then left. He looked behind him and stopped. Then he walked towards me and gave me a kiss when he reached me.

"Be safe."

Then he ran. I knew that this wasn't going to be easy. However I lied to him. I did feel something with this cave. I don't know what it was, but I felt it. As I got closer, it got stronger. I thought this was the cave. I went inside and made camp. Then I fell asleep soon after I shut my eyes after I ate.

I knew I was dreaming, but it felt so real. Then what I saw next got me crying. Again.
