we came together and fell apart in a blink of an eye.
our explosive demise left me scrambling for a second of silence, i did not know that the static that followed us would hurt even more. the space between us grew and grew, as did the void in my heart. false pretenses of acceptance and facades of happiness built themselves around me as an armor. for reasons unknown, the universe pushed us together once more. we hid under the darkness of night, while we got drunk of the haziness of a summer night.
eyes closed, lips pressed, laughs bellowed, bodies danced, regrets followed.
the space between us followed again, yet no crippling pain hit. the previously tilted world turned once again to its rightful place. somehow our new sins were what erased out old ones. and so with the stars finally properly aligned, we both took our different paths and became strangers once again.
