i stared into your soulless eyes that reflected a million stars while you acted like a black hole and stripped me of everything.

the warm sun refused to heat my skin, you made me wish i was made of stone. the sun dulled, the birds fell silent, the air cooled. my eyes drooped and the vibrant colors of the world started to seep out. my head hung low as yours stood tall. the cunning green monster filled my veins and it clawed its way up to my heart. it took control of my sight and the last color i saw was red. the corners of my mouth sluggishly fled south at the sight of you and her. my shoulders gave out underneath the burden of gravity, my legs dragged across the greying floor. you proudly hung a hazy, inky cloud over my head. my tears made up its overcast, your claps of laughter rung louder than any thunder ever would.

i built my walls around the black and grey, blocking out the bright yellow you and her radiated.

a/n: fun fact: i wrote this in the middle of chem class on a couple sticky notes during my freshman year of high school :) -a.n.
