i searched for the meaningless jokes and the whispers that got lost in the air
i searched for the gentle touches and the reassuring caresses
i searched for the happiness you fed my heart and the rush of adoration in my veins
i searched for the comforting words in the wind and the lulling of your voice in the ocean
i found nothing and felt nothing, for you were lost and so was i.
