by the moonlight, the stars watched on. they watched us roll and roll until we crashed; our souls ebbed, while my eyes wept.
we were accustomed to our intertwined love, i could not breathe when we were unstitched. your sappy brown eyes stared blankly back at me; you had no mercy on me. i thought we could never be apart, then she came along. i struggled to breathe when you were gone. although the hole at my side was gaping, you were no longer keen on filling it.
now, as i slowly forgot how we became undone, only the stars bore witness to our coming together and falling apart.
