i saw you in everything.
i saw you at the bottom of my glass, as a drink as bitter as you burned its way down my throat. i saw you in the cheerful, striped candy we once innocently shared. i saw you on the tv as i flickered past the helmet-wearing giants run across the large, expansive green. i saw you unceremoniously and superciliously resting at the back of my mind.
you had a hold on me and the more i thrashed, the stronger your gripped got.why must your shadow taunts me in my brightest moment?
