Initiation Part 2

CHAPTER 4

(MIKAEL’S POV)

I quickly dashed outside to the forest of which the sound came from. When I was sure that no one would see me, I quickly morphed into my wolf form.

Standing in my four paws, I felt free.

My wolf was higher and bigger than the usual female wolf, that’s because I came from an Alpha family. Being second in line to being the Alpha of the Luther pack made my wolf a lot tougher. I was one of the best fighters in our pack, not to mention the fastest.

I let the cool night breeze muffle my silvery white fur.

I got my color from my grandmother, silvery white with a distinct black and gold patch running from the middle of my green eyes down to the middle of my back, ending like a v shape. Having also puffier fur at my neck, making me look bigger than the rest.

Another howl came out, leading me to a big clearance in the heart of the forest.

All eyes were on me as I kept my nose high and proud.

Some of them began to sense my Alpha personality that they bowed their heads. They made a way for me, leading me to six majestic russet wolves.

But one russet wolf caught my eye.

Joshua

His blue eyes intently on me.

The five other russet wolves, together, looked up to the moon; seeing that it’s almost on its apex, howled, signaling that the initiation has now begun.

Without further ado, I crouched myself into my fighting crouch, ready for the Alpha’s attack.

In an initiation, the Alpha must battle with the rogue but when the moon hits its apex, the rogue shall automatically forfeit the fight as a sign of submission to its new Alpha.

Joshua, as the Alpha, stepped in front of me and bared his canines. He made a quick hard pounce on me then took a snap at my neck.

But he got distracted at the sight at of my blood oozing.
