CHAPTER 19

(MIKAEL’S POV)

My eyes abruptly opened as I inhaled one sharp breath. The dream. It was weird, totally out of the blue. I took a glance at my alarm clock: 6:02

I need a break

Letting out a frustrated sigh, I lazily got up but pictures of the lady in my dream—or rather the me in my dream—flashed in my mind again and again.

Crap! Even my mind’s all mashed up.

I admit the dream was somehow creepy but maybe it was just a result of a stressed out mind of a Luna who, thankfully with the help of the others, is trying to run a pack with approximately 368 members and is trying to locate an Alpha that is missing for the past 3 days and the most possible place would be Florence, South Carolina—due to the mysterious sudden rise of deaths there for the past 2 days.

One heavy sigh got out, making me stare at the window, thinking of ways to find him in Florence. But my mind was brought back again when someone came in my room.

Just Viktorya in her sleeveless floral print empire waist chiffon tunic and a pair of skinny jeans.

“Oh, did I intrude some—”

“No, it’s ok.” I gave her an assuring smile and she smile back. “So what brought you here?”

“I just want to request something. If you’re taking Kent with you if you’d go to Florence , can I –”

“You wanna go with him?”

“Well yeah—I’m just worried and we’ve practically never had been separated at all and I’m afraid.”

I gave her another smile;

‘I know how it feels like Viktorya, and I don’t want you to feel it.’

“I’ll take that in mind.”

“Thanks.” Then she went out and I resumed my morning rituals.

Since today is the second day of Founder’s Week, classes will only last up to 12 then the rest of the afternoon will be spent readying for God-knows-what activities done for the whole celebration.

“Happy Founder’s Week everybody and a Happy Sestercentennial to our little town, I hope all of you still remember our traditional go-back-to-the-old-times discussions during Founder’s in our History classes.” Mr. Henry said as he looked at each of us. He looks really jolly at the age of 43 and his smile that would reach those soft grey eyes of his underneath those half framed glasses would really make you feel jolly yourself.

“But Sir! We’ve been having those conceited discussions for the last 250 years.” Jessica pointed out with a rather annoyed tone making everyone laugh in their seats.

“True, BUT this year’s Founder’s Week is going to be different.” Then he took a piece of chalk and scribbled the words ‘New Stuff’ across the board then looked at us again. “Last year was boring. I know. That’s why Mayor Hall had some new stuff for this week which I hope with all my old heart that it won’t bore everyone to death.” Then everyone was smiling from ear to ear. I’m really hoping for a good fun this week but for all the reason, I can’t seem to have some fun at all. Josh is still out there and I’ve been tearing my ass to locate his exact location at the moment, and then adding up to the heaping pile of things to worry about is that uncanny dream. I’ve not told anyone yet about it, maybe it’s just my imagination doing its wonders. Who knows?
