CHAPTER 9

(MIKAEL'S POV)

After spending almost hours with my mate in the middle of the forest-I explained what happened and he listened and everything was alright again. Then we morphed into our wolf forms and played the whole time. We found out that I was faster but he was stronger-I beat him at all the race but he'd beat me during wrestling. Hours passed until he told me that he wants to go somewhere with me so we went out of the forest and back to the campus.

"Uhm...Josh?" I called from his back. Seems to me that he's not bothered with my weight.

"Yeah?" he replied nonchalantly.

"Where are we going exactly?"

"To the cafeteria," he chuckled lightly, "Miks, we've been in the forest for some time and I haven't eaten lunch yet."

"Oh, sorry." Snuggling my head on his shoulder as I remembered that we were supposed to eat lunch together HOURS AGO. He chuckled lightly, acknowledging my silent apologies. When we were out of the forest, I insisted on walking. He did but having his left arm wrapped around my waist. Having that arm around my waist earned us spectators. I couldn't stop my cheeks from flaming up. Darn attention.

(JOSHUA'S POV)

The moment we got out of the dense forest, Mikael insisted on letting her walk instead. I let her walk of course BUT I had my left arm wrapped around her waist. My wolf and I prefer to have a very close contact with our mate. Everybody noticed our arrival and I could tell they were intrigued.

'Oh, you found her."

'Who were those outsiders she was with?'

'Awh! So cute together' and more but it wasn't enough to make me feel warmed up, why? Because of their presence, Mikael's already tensed up and I can't have that.

'Everyone PLEASE leave now, but thank you by the way.' Not long, apologies flooded my head and then the crowd dispersed.

"You ok babe?" I asked, trying to feel what she's feeling, though I've had little troubles connecting my mind to hers since she instinctively blocks everyone.
