-Last flashback chapter-
Oh my god I breathed, as we awoke with a start back in the fear landscape room. I was glad to be back, I'll tell you that for nothing.
Unfortunately I hadn't managed to push Uriah off the chair in my state of unconsciousness; what a shame. Speaking of the chair, it suddenly became a lot roomier as Uriah dragged himself up and had a little stretch before hobbling over to the monitor. Whatever he saw seemed to shock him.
"Have a guess how long we were under" he asked me in astonishment.
"I dunno, about half an hour" I guessed groggily as I rubbed my eyes, I still hadn't come round properly yet.
"12 minutes" he replied.
"Oh my god, really?" I said surprised.
"Yeah really" he answered as he turned the screen towards me. Looking at it, I saw he was telling the truth. Well the exact amount of time we took was 12:09, but either way, that was quite a good score considering how many fears we had to get through (and what we had to do). I shivered involuntarily at the thought of the shark.
"Delete it off the record, now" I ordered, we definitely did not need Four to know that we'd snuck in here after hours without him, he'd probably castrate us.
Uriah dragged our score into the recycling bin reluctantly (he most probably wanted to keep it as looking at some of his other scores, I noticed they were pretty bad; luckily for him, he was extremely good in hand to hand combat so he shouldn't rank too badly on the leader boards. He was scared of becoming factionless after all...).
As he went to turn the screen back around, something caught my eye.
"What's that" I inquired, pointing to something in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Uriah squinted at it and looked at me strangely.
"Umm...Tris, why does Four have a folder with your name on it, on his computer?"
"He should have a folder on all the initiates" I replied a little bewildered.
"He does, but why is yours not in it and separate from ours?" Uriah put back.
"How the hell am I meant to know? I'm not Sherlock fucking Holmes" I snapped.
"Shall we open it?" he asked a hint of excitement lacing his voice.
"Well Obviously", that boy could be so bloody stupid sometimes. Uriah clicked on the folder and with a beep, a message popped up on the screen.
'You need to enter password in order to access this file'.
PASSWORD:
What the hell? Why on earth does my instructor have a locked folder all about me on his computer? This is getting pretty creepy.
"See if your folders are locked" I commanded. Maybe everyone's is locked for privacy purposes, although I had an awful feeling that that wasn't going to be the case.
Uriah clicked on the folder named 'initiates' and it opened straight away, showing another list of folders. These had the names off all the others on them; similar to mine that was situated on the home screen. He clicked on Christina's and it opened up straight away, showing bar charts and other important information about her fear
landscape and progress in Dauntless.
