A/N – Here’s part 25, really small chapter (supposed to be on the end of the last one but I wanted to do a cliff hanger so it’s here instead)

Shit Shit Shit!

What shall I do? I thought, looking round frantically at the mess that surrounded me and desperately trying to figure out somewhere to hide…

Anywhere!

The cupboard in the corner was tempting; I could probably just about squeeze myself into it if I took out its content and threw it out on the floor; camouflaged in with the rest of the supplies that had once belonged on the now collapsed shelf – I doubt they’d notice. The only problem being that it would make yet more noise and take at least 30 seconds - around 27 more than I have.

My eyes shifted once again to the thin piece of wood that separated me from both him and total mortification, the handle on it still turning so agonizingly slowly; I swear if it went any slower it would be going backwards.

Deciding that I have no time to hide, I just close my eyes and brace myself for the sudden bout of light to fill the room…but the light never comes. Instead the handle stops turning and a voice interrupts the deadened silence.

“Look let me do that, it’s the least I can do; especially if you’re sure you want to pass up on my little offer” Ellen said sweetly, trying yet again to flirt with him. Take a hint bitch, he obviously ain’t interested. He’s got a fucking girlfriend for god’s sake!

“I’m sure but thanks anyway” he replied politely with a chuckle, before I then heard his footsteps move away from the cupboard. I breathed out a sigh of relief, looks like I got away with it this time – phew.

“I’m disappointed” she shouted after him, also sounding amused.

Yeah, you’re not the only one love

I was so relieved about him leaving that I forgot I would need to explain myself to her when she came in here, which of course, she did. The door was flung open and I just stood there like a deer trapped in headlights, as still a bloody statue. She stared at me as I did so, emotions flashing across her face like the sweep of clouds over a quiet landscape. Emotions such as confusion, annoyance, amusement, judgement…you name it; she was most probably feeling it.

Having no idea what to do now, I took Four’s lead and became defensive; just as he had when Uriah had barged in on him in here earlier.

I wonder what he was doing.

“What do you want?” I asked, hands on my hips; acting as though standing in a cupboard that looked as though a volcano had recently erupted inside of it, was the most normal thing to be doing.

“What the hell are you doing in here?” she replied, displaying total ignorance towards my question. So I now took the lead of a 5 year old instead…

“I asked first”

“Seriously” she said, raising her eyebrows.

“Uh-huh” I persisted, nodding my head vigorously.

“I came in here to clean up that mess” she sighed tiredly, gesturing towards the floor.

“Oh, okay then” I answered, as I rudely pushed past her and began to walk towards the door.

“Hey, you never answered my question” she shouted after me.

“What are you? 12?” I scoffed at her, smirking to myself as I turned back round. Her face collapsing in annoyance like a pricked balloon, as I happily walked away. I don’t know why I was being like this, it’s not like she’s really even done anything to me. I guess I can just be so childish at times…I love it!
