After showering, dressing, and putting makeup on, I sat on the couch waiting for Darren. He was always soo slow and made us late for everything. I was used to it and knew by now it was better to just sit and be patient. I heard him running downstairs and slowly stood up. He was wearing jeans and a hoodie and his natural curly hair looked even nicer than usual. I checked myself in the mirror one more time. My dirty blonde hair fell perfectly around my freckled face and my brown eyes seemed to stand out today. My black leggings and gray uggs along with my gray hoodie made me look casual, yet classyish.
-"Come on Lils!"--Darren yelled from the door
We arrived at a Sherlock Holmesyish house where Darren pulled into the driveway. Darren knocked and opened the front door to reveal a living room full of people watching My Little Pony. Darren inteoduced me to the group sitting around. There was Nick and Matt, brothers, a really tall guy named Jim, a guy with a crooked jaw named Joey, a hyperactive short girl named Lauren, and a calm and sweet looking girl named Jamie.
Darren pulled me onto the kitchen where I met a guy named A.J., another guy named Brian who said he liked squirrels, and a girl named Meredith who was laughing about at her own joke.. They were all so welcoming and immediately ordered pizza and wings and started deciding what movie to put in. Finally the guy named Nick put in The Little Mermaid.
Halfway through the movie and after 3 pizzas and 50 wings, I was laying with Darren on a couch. I heard thefrot door open and two voices filled the room as they appeared.
-"Hey everyone!!!"-- the one guy named Brian, Darren said
The other guy remained out of sight and I heard him walk upstairs.
-"Joe just went upstairs real quick, you can meet him in a minute."--Darren said
I got up and grabbed a soda. I sat back down nextto Darren and did not look up until I heard someone shout-
-"LILLY?!!"
I gasped--"Joe?!!"
Right in front of me was my exboyfriend from highschool, my best fried growing up, Joe Walker
