After seeing Darren off at the airport, I slowly dragged myself to the car. I got in and locked the doors, but slumped in the drivers seat and rubbed my eyes. I couldn't help but cry everytime he went away. Tears trailed down my face and I started to shiver from the cool spring air. I pulled one of Darren's sweatshirts on, taking in its aroma and then I started driving away.
I got into the apartment and walked right to the bedroom. I flopped on the bed and buried my face in Darren's pillow, sobbing loudly. I wanted him to always be with me, but I knew by now that life wasn't fair. My phone softly buzzed in my pocket and I slowly took it out. I had a facebook notification. I opened my facebook app and waited for it to load. A message popped up: Hey Lily, I know Darren just left, I told him I would invite you for a night of fun with the rest of the Starkids :) <3 Joe. I sighed, remembering about my shocking meet up with Joe. Strange how Darren was friends with my ex... Instead of responding on facebook, I just sent him my cellphone number and said "call me".
Around 12:30, my phone rang. I sang along to Don't You (One of Darren's originals) and then looked at the screen. It was an unknown number so I assumed it was Joe, and I was right.
"Hey Lily!"--Joe said with enthusiasm
"Hi Joe."--I replied
"I will be at Darren's apartment around 5 to get you, we are all going out to dinner and then having a slumber party, we really need to catch up Lily, i missed you soo much!"-- He practically yelled in one breath
"Ummm.. ok see you then Joe, bye."--I said hanging up quickly
I didnt want to fall back into Joe's arms.. I was happy with Darren, tonight was going to be rough on my head, I need to keep reminding myself of Darren..
