Ode to 'Broken'
You are not broken. No matter your diagnosis or what people say.
You are whole. You are not any less that anyone who doesn't have an
illness. You are not half a soul. You are not in pieces. A person cannot be broken. Broken sounds bad. Believe me, you are good.
You have all perfect intentions although your brain chemistry may be slightly different than someone else's. You are prefect and loved and whole.
You don't deserve to be labeled. You don't deserve to be called broken. You are incredible. You should never be degraded for having an illness. Having an illness does not make you a villain.
It does not make you broken. All of these poets labelling the ill as the broken.
And maybe sometimes you feel broken. But you, as one, are whole.
And you deserve to be loved and talked about as nothing less than a prefect whole.
