her eyes
held such promise
such a love
looking into them
would be like trying to see
to the ocean floor
from the surface.you tore the love out of her
her soul empty
her eyes
still deep
now hold a new depth
something not given to her
something had been taken away
her trust
stolen
her honest twinkle
gone
a blank canvas
they're depth,
no longer
sweet.
