you tell me
you adore me
try telling me that again
when your arms are
wrapped around another
you tell me
you trust me
try telling me that again
when you're telling me
where i can and cannot go
and who i can talk to
you tell me
you love me
try telling me that again
when your hands are
wrapped tight around my
throat
so i cannot breathe
you adore me
but she was appealing.
you trust me
but only when i'm in your
presence.
you love me
when i'm silent,
when i'm complacent.
you don't love me.
this, this is not love.
this is not a relationship.
this is ownership.
this is toxic.
but it's okay,
because
i love you.
right?
