Hazing...  How could he have forgotten all about the hazing?  Singto glumly watched the third years enter the hall trying their best to look intimidating.  He scoffed internally.  If only these kids knew, what it's like in the real world.

He wondered who selected the head hazer.  A short boy, with a babyface.  Maybe it was just him who found the head hazer least intimidating.  The freshman around him seemed afraid enough.

As the cheer meetings went on Singto felt the rage rising in him.  Who did this Arthit kid think he was to boss around other kids who came to the university with so much excitement and hopes.

He took a deep breath trying to calm himself down.  The chief specifically asked them not to attract attention.

No...  He was going to keep his head down.

Keep your head down. Head down Singto.  He kept repeating to himself.

Singto raised his hand standing up.

"0062 Kongpob.  I have a question."

********************

Singto had expected the call.  He couldn't help himself.  Singto hated the head hazer and stupid activities.

"Ai Sing.  What the hell were you thinking?  Now everyone knows you."  Jean shouted in his ear as soon as he answered her call.

"It's not my fault that Arthit kid was terrorizing the freshman.  I couldn't just sit and watch."

"Do as he says and we could quietly do the job we are here for, Singto.  Do you think a low profiled drug dealer would want to talk to a rebel like you?  Someone who has managed to gain the attention of the seniors?"

"That's it!  Jean, I went against the system and rules.  That is the best way to show people I am not obedient.  Maybe Arthit's idea wasn't stupid after all.  I will get those signatures and get familiar with the seniors.  Obviously, the dealer is a senior.  Speaking of attention, I saw Arthit ask for your number.  You are one to talk about me attracting attention," Singto said dryly.

"I was forced to get his signature by the two girls I met.  It's not my fault I'm beautiful!"

Singto rolled his eyes, she did have a point.

"Fine.  Tomorrow let's start making friends.  Get a good rest, Jean.  See you."

"Wait!  Singto lets pretend not to know each other.  I'm always nervous, and I will end up calling you by your real name."

Singto sighed, accidentally slipping out their real names was the least of their problems.

"Alright.. alright.. goodnight Jean.  I have homework to do."

Singto wanted to cry.  He had traveled back in time.  He had homework to do.  Getting hazed by some kids.  Excellent, so much for a dream job.

Why engineering?  Why couldn't it be economics?

********************

Singto found out his feelings for Arthit were mutual.  Arthit seemed to hate him just as much.  Thanks to all the police training he had gone through, he managed to complete all the punishments Arthit came up with.

Singto didn't realize he had been glaring at Arthit.

"0062 Kongpob?  Do you have a problem with me?"

Singto continued to watch him.

"Kongpob?  Stand up when asked a question."

Singto looked around.  Jean, who had been sitting next to him, nudged his arm.

"Kongpob," she said, gritting her teeth.

Oh...  He was Kongpob.  Singto stood up.

"Run seven laps.  Start now," Arthit said in a booming voice.

"What did I do?"

"Ignore your senior.  Hurry up.  You are running out of time."

"No," Singto said sternly.  Arthit had crossed a line.  He was abusing his power.  "You can't punish me just because you don't like me."

Arthit walked towards him and raised his hand.  Singto held Arthit's hand before it could hit him.

"This is the second time you have raised your hand to hit me Ar... I mean P' Arthit.  Raise it one more time, and you will be sorry," he hissed quietly.

Everyone watched the encounter in shock.  Arthit pulled his hand back red in the face.

"Get out of my sight," he shouted furiously.  "I don't want to see you ever again."

Singto didn't have to be told twice.  He stormed out of the ground.

********************

"Jean please don't start again.  You saw what he did.  You were there."  Singto watched the patterns on the wall as he spoke to Jean.

"Sing, I called you to tell something important.  From what I heard, Arthit isn't a bad guy at all.  The second years seem to love him.  My code member told me Arthit is very popular among the girls and the guys.  It's strange why he is behaving this way.  Maybe you misunderstood him."

"That's nonsense.  Arthit is an asshole.  Besides, I'm not here to get in his good books.  I am going out later with a couple of guys and some second years.  I'm hoping to get some information from them."

"This is just a hunch, but do you think we should approach Bright?  He is known to be the party guy.  To be honest, he looks high most of the time."

Singto dwelled on that thought for a while.

"Sing, what I'm trying to say is, Bright is in the same circle as Arthit.  Since you already managed to get Arthit's attention... " Jean's voice trailed off.

"You want me to be his friend?  Are you out of your mind?" Singto asked.  Unable to believe Jean would suggest the idea in the first place.  "Bright also seems like a womanizer.  Why don't you try to get to him using your good looks?" he retorted.

"That's not a bad idea either."

"Jean I was joking.  He could be a crazy molester for all we know.  I will try to get through to him."

"Did you just sacrifice yourself to protect me, Sing?"

"We are on our own Jean.  I don't want anything bad to happen to either of us.  I will tolerate Arthit for the mission."

Singto fell onto his bed thinking.

How was he going to get close with a horrible person like Arthit?
