It all started on a random Saturday.
You were supposed to rest then.
But then you were suddenly 'asked' by Kamitani Hayato to watch over his brother Taka. However, that won't be the only thing that you'll be doing on that Saturday.

Unfortunately, Hayato had baseball practice and Shizuka-sensei will also be out for the day. Thence, the both of them turned to me for a 'little' favor.

"Since my house is the dead opposite of fun, let's go visit the Kashima brothers instead."

"Yay! We gonna visit Kotaro!"

Like the polite person I am, I ring the doorbell and patiently wait.

"Good morning. Ah, Taka-sama. And who might you be, miss?"

An attractive blond butler greeted me with a little smile.

"Go-Good morning. I'm here to see Kashi-"

"If that is the case, please do come in, miss. A friend of Ryuichi-sama and Kotaro-sama may also be a friend of mine."

This guy has a -sama complex even towards kids. It probably won't be long before he uses that suffix with me.

"L/n-san? Taka-kun?"

As I entered the lovely mansion, also whilst excusing myself for intruding, I forgot that Kashima isn't living so leisurely. He's working hard as well.

"But still..."

"Huh?"

"Why didn't Baseball leave his brother in your care instead?"

All of your classmates, including Baseball and Babysitter, know that you have a bad history with children. However, Taka and the other children in the daycare doesn't know.

"That's okay, L/n. Despite your past, Taka and Kotaro accept you. The others as well."

"Kashima...despite your best efforts to comfort me, it's not gonna work."

You had a delinquent persona, something you took after from your father. But nonetheless, he raised you wholeheartedly after your mother's death.

During middle school, it was a bit hard for you to not pick a fight. When you entered high school, your secrets spilled out. Most of your classmates are still afraid of you.

"Kids hate me."

"Not all kids."

[Time Skip...]

"Man, that Saikawa butler of yours is a great cook."

Right after lunch, the two kids took a nap. Then, the chairman and her secretary went out for some business. So, Ryuichi and Y/n were left with the boys.

"If you didn't live here, I bet this household would be as dead as a cemetery. No offense, though."

"None taken."

Kamitani and I are the only ones who know about what Y/n went through in the past. It's more than just the death of her parents.

Aside from the fact that she used to be a delinquent, it's no doubt that every scar holds a story and she has hundreds of them.

"Want me to help you?"

"With what?"

Basically, Y/n learned to do a lot of work when she was young. Her father supported her throughout.

"To understand kids."

"How can I do that? As a kid, I never even understood myself!"

"That's why I said I'll help you."

The only thing she can't do is to take care of children.

"Shut up. I know the basics, okay? Feed, wash, change, and play with 'em."

"That's correct. However, there's more to it than that."

I only pray that I won't make her mad. She's more terrifying than Inomata when she reaches the first barrier of her angry limit. Personally I've experienced it firsthand and wasn't able to sleep that night.

"Next week, you need to get a Brownie Point from everyone in the daycare. Excluding Midori and Usaida."

"Next week?"

And so next week came. Monday to Thursday, she easily got a thumbs up from the kids. Friday came and she needed to get the approval from Kazuma.

"Tch. I hate crybabies."

"Don't be like that! Kazuma is cute too!"

In the span of that week, even the kids got to know of Y/n's past. Still and all, they still love her. Today, Kazuma will be the last challenge.

"G-Good morning, Kazuma..."

"Good morning, Y/n-neechan."

Tears threatened to spill out from the child's eyes, because of the girl's hard stare.

Everyone else closely watched the events unfold.

Out of the blue, the girl wraps her arms around the child. Without warning, she begins to sob silently.

Nobody knows why, but after that, she got 2 bonus Brownie Points from Kazuma.

"How'd I do?"

"For your success, I shall give you 3 points!"

"Really?!"

"Now, you have to get one from the chairman."

"What."
