[Hayato Arc]
"Hey, you wanna go have ramen?"
"Sure. I have nothing better to do anyway. The woman's gonna fetch Taka today."
Although it didn't seem like it, L/n Y/n and Kamitani Hayato have been best friends since they were kids. Not many people knew this.
However, they don't have much chemistry to go with. Just history, supposedly.
{Y/n}
I feel sorry for Ryuichi, but I know he deserves someone better. Well, I wish good luck to Inomata and Ushimaru.
"Hey, Hayato?"
"What?"
"Nothing."
I honestly don't want to bring up the topic of when our parents met. I'm not even sure if he remembers at all. We were still toddlers back then. It's nothing really.
{}
In the empty playground, a quiet boy stood with his baseball bat. A few inches away from him, a quiet girl who sat on the swings.
Both their parents were busy chatting at a picnic table. Albeit they shouldn't leave their children unsupervised, they trust that they will not be going anywhere.
"You've stopped being that grumpy boy ever since you got married to her," this statement reached the small girl's ears.
"But your kid might follow in your footsteps."
"I hope she won't."
She continues to eavesdrop, not noticing the boy in front of her now. Apparently, he had a stoic look on his face. It's like all the joy was sucked out of him, plus he looked like his father.
{Hayato}
"And that is how I met your mother."
"Really? It's so simple."
So what if I met her a few years back? It's nothing really.
"Pssh. Your father says that he doesn't particularly like me or anything. He's secretly a tsundere."
"I'm not the raging woman-delinquent here."
"Tch! Shut up!"
I can say that I'm finally happy with my life. Time passed by real fast. I just remembered the last time I ate ramen with Y/n, like it was yesterday. Anyway, we now have our son...and there's nothing more I could ever ask for.
Well, maybe I have a few more things that I want.
"Hayato! It's time to watch baseball!"
"C'mon, dad! It's already starting!"
I'll just ask for it next time. For now, maybe I can enjoy the present.
The End.
A/N: I'm really itching for these...
