"Ryu! Let's go!"
"Coming!"
A beautiful, sunny day shone upon the beautiful couple.
Three doors close one after the other. The engine starts up nicely. The family drives off.
"Are you excited for your first day of school?"
"Yeah. I'm nervous too."
The couple was proud of their beautiful daughter, for they know she will grow up to be a genius.
Y/n keeps her eyes on the road, both hands steady on the wheel. Ryuichi has a gleaming smile on his face, already happy and satisfied with his life.
"Bye bye!"
"Have fun!"
They watch her as she skips off to school. After that, the couple heads back home.
"I might teach her how to drive."
"No, don't make her a delinquent."
"Huh? No, I won't!"

The event earlier reminded me of me when I was a kid. I didn't want to let go of dad when he brought me to school. If I remember it vividly, a nice couple helped us out. I made my first friend then.
"Y/n-chan, it'll be okay."
"No! I dun wanna!"
"Stop being stubborn."
I barely remember the kid who was with them, but whatever. It's not like we were best friends.
The next day, I went to visit my parents' graves. What a coincidence that they ended up beside each other again.
"I wish you guys were here. You could've treated Ryu like your son."
It took me some time, but I managed to get over my bridge of problems. Although, I know that there'll be more.
"Why the hell did you leave me?"
There's only one thing I hate about visiting them. There's no picture of them. I don't have a shrine either. I barely remember their faces. I only hear dad's voice sometimes.
Without warning, my phone suddenly rings. My husband Ryu is calling.
"Hello. What is it, Ryu?"
"It's time to go pick her up."
"I'll be there soon."
Well, with my new family, I couldn't ask for anything else.
