Like any other day, L/n Y/n would always tag along with Nezu Chuukichi whenever going home. Naturally, being a neighbour is just an excuse so that they can walk together.
"Don't worry. My house is just a few blocks away from yours. See you tomorrow at school!"
Admittedly, the quiet boy likes having her around. Aside from the fact that his sister can have a new playmate, Y/n's presence lightens up his mood and better yet, brightens up his life.
A lot of people ask her, "What's your relationship with Nezu?"
Her answer; "Apparently, neighbours."
Though, they weren't really close. You could say that they were simply acquaintances. However, there were certain occasions on when Y/n would come over to visit the Nezu family. Especially the youngest child and only daughter, Kyouko, she's happy that she gets a new playmate.
All things considered, the way that they met was pretty much normal.
"Hey, Tomo-chan, is this the guy you wanted me to meet?"
"Yeah. Chuukichi, this is L/n Y/n."
"Ah, nice to meet you!"
Though Y/n wouldn't admit it, she didn't want to meet the boy in the first place. Now, it's just an excuse to have another friend. Sooner or later, that bond will wear off. At least that's what she thought. It lasted longer than expected.
"Y/n."
"Chuukichi?"
Besides being neighbours in the block, they were also neighbours at school. Seated right beside each other, naturally.
"Where's your bento?"
"I forgot."
It's a fact that they might be a little too blunt.
