"Yo, chill out, dude."

"I ain't got no chill!"

Some have heard of her, and while some are oh-so-slightly frightened. Once you get her mad, you can only pray.

But of course that's just an exaggeration.

L/n Y/n. First year student from Class B. Her favourite drink is orange soda pop. The 'girl who always rages' and ultimately has no 'chill' or whatsoever. Good grades, fixer-upper attitude. But what makes her so unique is that of her hair colour. L/n was born with a strong orange colour. It comes off as calm and maybe yet eccentric. Sooner or later, however, it can show off a fierce side.

She gets along with boys, most especially. Frequently, she hangs with her girl friends. But throughout the whole day, she likes to be with herself alone.

The story starts as the said girl, who is emitting a delinquent-like aura, awesomely walks down the hallway of her beloved school, heading to her classroom. This is how her day usually starts, but sometimes, there is an fortunate interruption that goes by the name of Yagi Tomoya.

The first day of high school just started out for Morinomiya Academy's new students, the first years.

"Y/n, I have to introduce you to someone."

The blond boy was familiar with the girl since starting third year middle school. He now introduces his other friend, who he knew for a longer time, "This is Nezu Chuukichi."

"Nice to meet you."

"Likewise."

Greetings come and go, as Y/n was (obviously) raised with proper manners.

Little did they know, that starting with that handshake, Yagi Tomoya started to play matchmaker.

{Y/n}

I was curious about Tomoya's friend, that Nezu guy. I know that the first thing he saw is my hair. That's what everyone looks at when they first see me. It's sort of unnatural, but, "My orange hair? I was born with it," I accepted it already.

My father is an American and my mother is Japanese. Their hair colours mixed, that's why mine turned orange. Anyway, that's the story of my orange locks. Now, it's time to get back to the current.

Nezu Chuukichi is as quiet as a mouse. I could barely sense his presence. I perceived the fact that we were complete opposites. He's quiet, I'm loud. He can blend in the background, I stand out.
I know all too well that some opposites don't attract. Though, I'd like to believe that we would.

It had been a few days, I got to know Chuukichi little by little. Weird thing is, the two began a little habit that involved me...

They started ruffling my hair.

"Oi, what the hell?!"

"Hehehe..."

My two friends seem to be having fun doing so and thus annoying me. I bet that this was Tomoya's doing. He told Chuukichi and unbelievably, he's really doing it.

I like Chuukichi and all, but I'm not even sure if he likes me back. Oh man, I'm really loosing my chill. I haven't encountered this kind of love before, it's making me stressed somehow.

Starting then, every night, I would toss and turn in my bed, my mind and thoughts only filled with him. In the morning, my mouth wouldn't open to speak to anyone. I was quiet for that time. I was too busy thinking.

"Wow, L/n, you've been pretty calm this past weeks."

"Shut up. I'm thinking."

A lot have been talking about my silence. It's a big change of character. Still, my two friends continue their habit of messing up my hair.

The time seemed so slow. By now, I didn't care whether Tomoya and Chuukichi ruined my hair. I was daydreaming of all the possibilities. Could Chuukichi like me? No, there's no way. But what if?

"Hey...Chuukichi?"

Whilst I greet him, he enjoys tousling my hair.

"What is it?"

It's sudden. Just like when I open a can of my favourite orange pop soda. The bubbles makes a fizz sound.

"I...I like you...!"

Man, this is so out of character!

After that millisecond of embarrassment, I hid my red face in my hands. What he did next was quite unexpected...for me.

"It's okay..."

I feel a small pat on my head. Chuukichi's hand lay atop my orange hair, but he wasn't ruffling it like the usual. Unlike the other times he did that, this one felt different. That's why it was unexpected.

"I like you too."

It's sudden. The orange fizz makes bubbles and it rises to the surface.

Chuukichi's got an orange crush then, huh?

The End.
