It's not my fault that my brain doesn't have the capacity to learn and understand everything that you dumb people have to teach us.

"Go and get someone to tutor you, ok?"

Don't worry, I already have the perfect person for the job.

"What? You want me to tutor you again?"

"Please?"

My name is L/n Y/n. Right now, I'm begging to Inomata Maria to help me get my grades back up.

Firstly, I can't really say that we're friends. Inomata doesn't grasp that concept. I, however, am just an acquaintance. More specifically, I've been her neighbour for a few years. Plus, my parents are familiar with hers.

"Fine. But I'm not doing this because I pity you! I actually want to return all the favours you've done for me as well."

She's a bit of a tsundere, if I do say so myself. Nevertheless, I'm glad that I got to help her back then.

"Thank you. I'll see you later."

"Sure..."

Later, during break time...

"You're early, L/n."

"I decided not to eat. How about you?"

"I already ate. But you can't study on a empty stomach!"

If I know Inomata, she would rarely consider others before her own sake. The next thing I knew, she bought me some food.

"Thanks...I guess?"

"Eat up."

This is the kind of event that happens once in a blue moon. It's too rare. But knowing her, it's just a kind gesture from her pure heart. She's still that same old tutor. It's a fact that people can't change that much. Same goes for me.

"Do you get it now?"

"It's much easier if I do it in that method, huh?"

Somehow, it's always easier if I have Inomata to teach me.

"Hey...Ino-chan?"

"Ino-chan?!"

"Do you have any plans on becoming a teacher?"

Through the years I've known her, I can say that we have similarities. For instance, we both don't have a clear understanding of what love is about.

"Why do you ask?"

"Because you're so good at teaching."

For a guy like me, even I wouldn't think of love so oftenly. I couldn't even be like Inomata and put my studies as a first priority.

"By the way, thanks for helping me again. I really appreciate it, Ino-chan."

I had my usual cheeky grin on, the one that she never got used to.

"You never change, L/n. You're still as cheeky as ever."

"You know I am."

Like I said, people can't change that much. But it'd be no surprise if she was the main reason that I did. After all, influence can be very powerful.

"I'm moving to Europe, Ino-chan."

"Abroad?"

"Yeah. My parents got a big job promotion and then I'm going to attend a private school."

Thankfully, my grades went back up and above average. Without Inomata's help, I probably wouldn't even have a chance to go abroad.

"Thanks for all your help."

I know it was sudden and all, but it doesn't really matter. If I know Inomata, she won't admit that she misses anyone. Either she'll deny it or she's too ignorant to believe it. Amyway, it's the same. Inomata Maria might stay the same even when I come back.

"Wait!"

I was about to leave. Why? I know she won't stop me because she respects my decision.

"Why are you leaving?"

"I already told you. My dad got a job promotion. Also, they found an elite private school for me."

I know her. There's no way she'd stop me from leaving.

"When are you coming back?"

"Soon."

Before I left, I told everyone in the daycare to treat Inomata with comfort. Even though she was still shy around the kids, I know she can handle them.

"Look out for her too, Kashima."

Knowing her, she'll be fine.
