Chapter 1
Yannie's POV
I checked myself at the mirror and combed my hair for the last time. I grab my skateboard and my bag and finally made my way out of my room.
I get my black old skool Vans on the shoe rack and pair it with black high socks. It was hot outside so I bring my baseball cap with me.
By the way, I'm Yannie. I'm living here in South Korea for 3 years. I choose to work and stay here after finishing college. I love to skate-obviously. It's my hobby since I was young. My brothers influenced me to ride skateboards since, I'm the only girl in the family and I didn't get a chance to play with other girls so I was a little bit boyish. But not really.
I ride my skateboard and went to the park. It feels refreshing. The wind, the sun rays, and the people. I was busy mesmerizing when...
"Ah! O-ouch! A-ah!" Oh gosh! I hit someone! He looked really hurt so I lowered my body to help him. I saw a notebook and a pen beside him and that guess it's his so I reached for it.
"Is this yours?" I asked.
"Y-yes," He stuttered.
I put his things inside my bag. He gave me a confused look so I answered him.
"I'll bring you to the hospital," I get up and reach for his hand, making a fist bro-like gesture.
"By the way, what is your name?" I asked.
"Hanbin," He answered without looking at me.
"Oh... I'm very sorry about this, Hanbin. It's just that... I didn't see you," I explained and scratch my hair. I looked at him, waiting for his respond, but received nothing but silence.
It's like I'm talking to the wind. Guess I should've just shut my mouth up since he doesn't know how to speak. Oops!
We arrived at the hospital and let the doctor check him. I was waiting outside when the doctor asked me to come in.
"Are you his girlfriend?" The doctor asked. My eyes widened in shock as I chocked on my own saliva.
"A-ah-ehe-ehem!" I hit my chest hardly. I looked at Hanbin whose eyes are almost popping out of its socket.
"O-oh. I guess not, pardon me. So, Miss am I right?" The doctor panicked. I just nodded as answer.
"Everything's fine with him so there's no need to... worry... It's just a mild injury." The doctor said after he checked Hanbin.
"Ok. So what do I need to do?" I asked.
"Nothing more since I have done the first aid and such," The doctor smiled at me.
"Oh, is that so? Thank you so much doctor," I bowed. He offered his right hand for a shake hands and I gladly accepts it.
"Ehem!" Hanbin faked a coughed. I shot him a death glare for interrupting my moment together with the handsome doctor.
"We're going..." I waved at the doctor and dragged Hanbin out of his clinic.
I let go of his hand after we made our way out of the hospital. I thought it was going to take much time... and money! Whew.
But, in fairness, the doctor looks handsome! And hot...
Okay, erase. I'm a good girl. No dirty thoughts. Omo?! Who says I'm thinking dirty?
I looked at my side and found someone. Oh! I almost forgot! I was with him. I was with Hanbin. Argh. Why isn't he speaking? Is he mute? Tsk! He's so... boring to be with. Jinjja! (*Seriously/Really)
"Uhm. Would you like to eat... or drink?" I said, breaking the silence between us.
1...
2...
3...Gotcha! I knew it! He's not answering!
"Then why are you asking him?" My brain responded. Ugh! Why can imagine my brain rolling her eyes on me. As if she had eyes, duh!
I grabbed his hand and brought him to a coffee shop. I'll treat him since I caused him accident. It serves as my peace offering. I went to the cashier and didn't bother to ask him what would be his order since I already know he's not going to answer me.
I order 2 coffee jelly since it's my favorite. I walked back to our table and gave him his coffee.
Hanbin's POV
Coffee jelly. That's my... favorite. How did she know?
Jamkkanman. (*Wait) What am I doing here? I mean, why on earth did I come with her? Ah. I was supposed to write new song lyrics and poems at the park. I thought it would be peaceful but no.
I was looking for a new environment for inspiration but I ended up being injured. Sigh.
"So... are you mute?" I almost chocked on her not-so-nice question. Just because I'm not talking doesn't mean I'm already mute.
"Have you not heard me said my name earlier?" I asked the obvious as I mentally rolled my eyes. Her eyes widened. She's so easy to read. Can't she pretend not to be shocked? Ugh.
"Then why are you not talking?" She fired back with a weird face. I didn't answer her and made a sip on my coffee instead.
"By the way, where do you live? Maybe I can walk you home? Since I have my skateboard and...." I didn't bother listening to her because she's so nosy. Can't she stop talking for just one freaking minute? She's slowly getting into my nerves. So annoying.
"Uhm hello?" She waved her hands on my face and gave me a sweet smile.
She's cute.
My eyes widened.
Omo?! (*Gosh) What the hell did I just said? Oh nonono. Erase erase. She's not cute. She's neither my ideal type. She acts like a boy.
Argh! Why am I thinking about those nonsense things? That girl is really driving my mind crazy!
I took my last sip on my coffee and made my way out of the coffee shop. I called a taxi to take me home since I can't walk due to my injury.
Sigh.
She's scary... And weird.
Yannie's POV
His eyes went wide, almost popping out of its socket. My eyes also widened because his reaction. Did he see a ghost? Omycow! Not a ghost nonono.
I saw him sip on his coffee and ran his way out of the shop. I called his name and followed him but he's already inside the taxi.
Okay... What have just happened?
I just shrugged and scratch my hair. He's weird.
I grab my things and left our coffees in the table. I rode my skateboard on my way home. I didn't notice that it's almost dark.
I finally reached my home and remove my stuffs. I brought my bag on my room.
A pen fell down so I picked it up. I stared at the pen and realized whom is it.
Hanbin.
