Chapter 14

Yannie's POV

I woke up shivering and shaking. I stood up to turn the air conditioner off but...

"AH! MY HEAD HURTS!" I cried in pain silently and sat on the floor.

I stayed for about 5 minutes until I stood up and get some coffee. I checked the time first before heading out. It says 5:30 in the morning.

My head is like being hammered. I was murmuring silently in pain while I was tying my hair into a bun.

I was so surprised when I saw someone sleeping on my couch...

'Dugdug. Dugdug.' Said the familiar beat of my heart.

"Kim Hanbin...?" I asked whispering.

I tried not to make any noise and get some blanket on my room.

'What is he doing here? Don't tell me he's the one who fetched me last night?' I asked myself.

'It can't be. It's Somi who fetched me last night, right?'

Argh! What really happened last night?! I hope it's not something embarrassing.

I headed to the kitchen and prepared coffee. I sip on my coffee and get some medicine to ease my headache.

Heol. I haven't washed my face nor brushed my teeth yet!

I left my coffee in the kitchen and run into the bathroom. I quickly washed my face and brushed my teeth.

--

Woah. It's refreshing. The cold water helped to lessen my hangover. I decided to prepare our breakfast.

The thought of Hanbin spending his night here makes me feel uncomfortable. It's not that I don't want him to sleep here. It's just that, he's a guy...

I cooked garlic fried rice, tocino, hotdog, and egg. I also prepared hot coffee for us-the typical Filipino breakfast. I went to the living room to wake Hanbin up.

6:49 am.

'It's too early to wake him up.' I thought to myself.

'But the food will get cold.' I sighed.

That's it. I am going to wake him up.

I was about to approach him when he turned his face on me.

'Dugdug. Dugdug.' My heart slams to my chest.

'HEART! Can you please calm down?! I feel like dying in here!' I protested to my heart.

I stare at him for a few minutes. He's handsome. The features of his face perfectly fit to each other.

I shook my head.

'Stop it Yannie-ah. Go wake Hanbin up now!' I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"Han--" I was shocked to see him awake.

His eyes widened to saw me sitting on the floor-just beside him.

"E-ehem," He coughed, obviously a fake one.

"A-ah--Erm... G-good morning hehehe. I was going to w-wake you up for b-breakfast," I stuttered. HEOL! When did he wake up?

I started to feel hot so I get up. I gestured him to follow me at the kitchen but he said he wanted to wash his face first. I nodded and turned my back. Gosh! That was embarrassing!

I sat on the chair and started filling up our plates. I closed my eyes and thanks Him for the blessings.

I saw a handso---

No. No. No.

I saw Hanbin sitting in front of me. He titled his head like a curious kid. He shrugged and smile.

"Igeotneun mwoya?" (*What's this?) He asked pointing the red meat.

"That's a meat called Tocino. It's from Philippines. It's delicious, try it," I gave him an assuring smile.

He took a bite. I was staring at him, waiting for his reaction.

"Wah! This is really delicious!" He cheered. I laughed at his kid-like reaction. He's such a cutie.

"Try it with ketchup. It's more delicious." He took another bite. His eyes widened.

"Ah! This is my favorite from now on," He claimed. I'm glad he liked it.

"Eat a lot," I told him. He smiled at me. HE SMILED AT ME!

"Thank you Yannie-ah..." He said and continued eating.

--

He volunteered to wash the dishes after eating. I joined him and wipe the utensils with a clean cloth.

We headed to the living room after washing the dishes to take a rest. I told him to stay for a minute before he go home. I'm glad he agreed.

"Hanbin-ah. Please tell me honestly, what happened last night?" His face flushed red upon my question. Something's not right. Something embarrassing happened last night!

"D-do you really wanna k-know?" He asked stuttering.

His face turned serious. Suddenly, a sweet smile flashed his face. The duality of this boy...

"You did this..."

And he leaned closer to me. I was stunned on my place, hearing my heart beating like crazy.

He touched my cheek and caressed it, "Somi-ah... are you mad?" He asked with his husky but cute, high-pitched voice.

He leaned more closer to me. I was about to move backward when he pulled me for a hug.

"DUGDUG. DUGDUG." My heart went crazier. HANBIN-AH, CAN YOU HEAR THIS?! PLEASE STOP OR ELSE I'LL DIE FROM HEART ATTACK!

"I'm sorry..." He whispered.

He moved away and laugh like a crazy man. I was still stunned on my place, shocked and confused.

"I should've filmed your reaction!" He held his stomach, still laughing out loud.

I slapped his arm and shouted, "I hate you!" I stomped my feet out of the living room and went outside.

He followed me on the backyard-still laughing. I crossed my arms on my chest and stared blankly into the air.

"I'm sorry..." I turned to him. His face become serious.

'Dugdug. Dugdug.'

He took a step forward.

"I said I'm sorry Yannie," I stepped backward.

"Ya!" I warned but he didn't listen.

He pinned me on the wall. Staring down into my eyes.

'He smells so dmn good!' I thought to myself. I shook my head mentally. No. I'm still angry.

"Yannie-ah..." He leaned his face closer to mine.

I stared onto his eyes and notice he's looking at my lips. I unconsciously bit my lip to hide it from him. He looked up to me and smile.

"I'm sorry Yannie," He repeated.

"G-gwaenchanhayo..." (*It's okay) I stuttered. I flushed red in my place. Gosh! He's only an inch away from me!

He pulled away and turned his back to me. I saw his shoulder shaking up and down. I know he's preventing himself from laughing. Hmp!

I walked past him and headed inside my house. I turned the TV on sat comfortably at the couch. Hanbin followed and sat beside me.

'I hate you.' I thought to myself.
