Chapter 2
Yannie's POV
"Yeongwonhi hamkkehajan geu yaksok
Ijeneun eomneun geoya
Jikyeojuji mothaeseo mianhae..."A tear fell from my eye. The lyrics are so deep. Where did he get this? Does she have a girlfriend? Did they broke up?
Err... Why am I asking? I wiped my tears and continued reading his masterpieces. I am like this every time I'm watching, reading or listening to anything that is sad. I'm a crybaby, for short.
By the way, the lyrics say,
"That promise we made to be together forever
No longer exists
I'm sorry I couldn't keep it..."I didn't know he was this good at composing lyrics. Maybe he can write stories too? Maybe I can recruit him to my work?
-or maybe not? ARGH! Why are you thinking of him Yannie-ah?
I looked at the clock. It's already 7:00 am and I have to get up for church. I never thought that there will be a lot of Christian churches here in South Korea. It's a good thing.
I got my stuffs and proceed to the bathroom. I'm planning to give Hanbin's notebook back to him. Good thing he did wrote his address and phone number on a card inserted in the cover of the notebook. I didn't want to message him since I barely use phone for talking.
I only used it to talk to my Dad and my brothers and of course, for taking pictures and selcas (*selfie) for Instagram.
I blowed my hair dry and comb it. I put a little makeup to look more decent.
I checked myself on the mirror for the last time. I smiled and grab my bag. I feel so pretty today. Just kidding! I know I'm not pretty.
I ride my bike and proceeded to Hanbin's house. The address says, 548 Gyeonggi-do, Seoul, South Korea. So complete huh?
I stopped riding my bike since I arrived at Gyeonggi. I have to roam around so I'll just carry it along with me.
543...
544...
545...
546...
547...And dang! 548. It must be Hanbin's. Their house looks cute. It's big but simple. I press the doorbell 3 times until I heard a voice.
"Jamkkanman!" (*A moment) Said a voice. It a female's voice so I presume that it is Hanbin's Eomma. (*Mom)
The lady arrived. Wow. Her beauty is... speechless. Daebak... (*Amazing)
"Uhm... Hello? What do you need?" She snapped.
"Uh-eh. Annyeonghaseyo! (*Hello) Is this where Hanbin lives?" I asked politely. I bowed after seeing her.
Her eyes widened in shock after I mentioned Hanbin's name.
"Ah. N-ne. (*Yes) What can I do for you? Should I call Hanbin?" She seemed very shock. Why do people have those reaction whenever they're meeting me? Weird.
I gave her a small smile.
"A-ani. (*No) I'm here to give this back to him. It's his Ma'am," I got the book and pen from the basket of my bike and handed it to her.
"E-eh?" She looked at Hanbin's things, which are now on her hands.
"Ah. I'm the one behind his injury Ma'am. Jeongmal mianhaeyo!" (*I'm really sorry) I apologize and bowed.
"Uhm. Oh that... That's okay. Would you like some coffee or tea?" The lady asked.
"Kamsahamnida (*Thank you) but I have to go now. I'll be late on the church." I answered politely and smile again.
"O-okay," I noticed her shoulder dropped out of... disappointment?
"Annyeong," (*Bye) I waved my hand and take my last bow with her.
I ride my bike and made my way through out church. I looked at my wrist watch. 8:27 am. Not bad. It starts on 9:00 am anyway.
His Mom seems to be nice. I wonder where Hanbin inherited his grumpiness.
Hanbin's POV
"Hanbin-ah. Get down here I have something for you!" My Mom called.
"What is it, Mom?" I asked. I don't want to walk. My feet still hurts.
"Someone gives your notebook back!" She yelled.
Oh. Don't tell me it is that girl.
"A pretty girl with a short hair brought this back!" She continued. Pretty? Tss. Whatever.
"Is she still there?" I asked. I didn't want to see her nor hear her annoying voice.
"She left already. Do you know her Hanbin?" Mom asked while I was walking down the stairs.
"No," I answered. I don't really know her name since I didn't ask what her name is. I don't wanna make friends with her neither be near her because she is so noisy.
"Huh? How come does she know you?" Argh. Why does my Mom keep on asking.
Ah I get it. Maybe Mom wanted me to have a girlfriend. Yep. I haven't been in any relationship since I was born.
"She asked my name and I didn't bother to ask hers. I get out and made my way home because she's noisy," I explained.
"But she seems nice and cheerful."
Whatever Mom. I don't see her that way. I said mentally.
"I want you to bring her here. She could be Hanbyul's friend. Jebal? (*Please)" Hanbyul's friend? Is my Mom serious? She's still young to be friends with that girl!
"I'll see Eomma. You know, we didn't have a nice start," I reasoned. If it weren't for my Mom... Ugh.
"Ne. Ne. Just bring her here okay? I wanted to meet her as soon as possible." (*Yes)
"Arasseo, Eomma," (*I understand, Mom.) I said and go back to my room.
I jumped on my bed and stared on the ceiling. How am I going to find that girl? Heol. What did she do to my Mom? Did she hypnotized her? Oh gosh. My head hurts because of her.
I get up and grab my notebook. I feel like writing something.
I was busy checking if the pages are still complete when something got my attention. It has droplets! Where did this came from? A rain? But it didn't rain yesterday. Could it be... Did she cry? Is it because of the lyrics or me? Heol. Why would it be because of me? Maybe she drank water and spill some.
Yeah. It can be.
Why do I care anyway? It's not my business anymore. What matters is I got my notebook back.
I stared outside and write something on my notebook.
"Baby, you're so beautiful."
