Chapter 6

Yannie's POV

Time flies fast.

It's already Friday today and I'm planning to go skating after work.

I looked at my wrist watch to check the time. 30 more minutes to go.

I checked my arm. I still have that bruise. I don't know where I got those...

Well, its just a bruise. There's nothing to be worried to.

I stood up. I can't wait the time. I don't have work anyways. I finished everything.

I took a cab on my way home because I'm feeling tired. I think I wouldn't be able to skate today? But I didn't do anything much today... It must be stress, I guess?

I opened the door and lay on my bed. I close my eyes but then my phone suddenly rang.

"Daddy wants to start a video call with you." The notification says. I answered the call.

"Hello Pa!"

"I miss you, baby girl..."

"I miss you too, Pa," I answered.

"Kumusta po kayo?" (*How are you?) I asked.

"I'm fine. Anyway, you look pale. Are you sick?" My brows meet.

"No Pa. I'm just tired of work."

"You know you don't have to work Yannie. I'll just send money on your account. It seems like your stressing yourself too much," I smiled. He's still the same Papa I knew.

"Nah. You don't have to, Pa. I can handle myself. Uhmm... Nandyan po ba sila kuya?" (*Is my brothers there?) Tanong ko.

"Yeah. Wait, I'll call them for you... Loki, Liam, Louie! Yannie wanted to see you!" My Dad shout.

I can see them running at the back. I smiled. They're so cute!

"Yannie, baby girl how are you?" Kuya (*brother) Liam asked.

"I'm fine, Kuya."

(A/n: Kuya is a term for 'brother.' Just like Korean's Oppa/Hyung)

"You looked pale, princess. Are you sick?" It's my ever overprotective Kuya Loki.

"No Kuya! Hahahah. I'm good. I just got home from work that's why I maybe looking pale."

"You sure, Princess? You know, you don't have to work. You just can stay here with us," Kuya Louie said.

"We miss you princess..." Kuya Liam is still sweet as ever!

"Yeah... comeback home for us please?" Kuya Loki said.

"I will... I'll be home on December."

"But that's too long. Can't you make it this coming May?"

"I'm sorry I can't Kuya. I have work." I reasoned out.

"Okay. Have you eaten already?"

"Uhmm... Not yet."

"Hey! That's why you're looking pale! You should eat now..."

"Hmmm. Okay. Bye Kuyas, bye Papa. I miss you all so so so much."

"We too, princess. Take care, okay? And eat a lot! Mahal ka namin, bye." (*We love you.)

"Mahal ko din po kayo." (*I love you all too.)

They ended the call. Aahh. I miss my family. But I wanted to be independent myself.

I get up to cook something. I'm quite good at cooking but not really.

I finished eating and wash my dishes. I changed my outfit. I wanted to go out to freshen out myself.

I went to park to where I first met Hanbin. I can't help but to laugh at our first meeting. I know he's annoyed at me because I'm so talkative.

But that's me. He can't do anything about it.

I took my phone to take some pictures. I choose one and edit it out. I'm going to post it, of course.

I was busy at my phone when someone sat beside me.

"Long time no see."

And the heavy pounding of my heart starts.

It's him, Hanbin.

Hanbin's POV

Something's urging me to go to park today. It's already 8:03 pm but I still go.

It's the park where we first met. You know, that annoying girl named Yannie.

I see a familiar figure of a girl who's busy taking pictures. It's her, the annoying girl.

I parked my bike beside the bench where she sits.

"Long time no see," I said. Her eyes widened after seeing me.

"What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Shouldn't I asking you that question? It's already 8:15 pm and you're out here in park."

"Tsk. I'm bored there's no one I can talk to in my house," She pouted. How cute.

"But it's dangerous to go out alone! Specially a girl like you. And also, you're wearing short shorts! What if someone harass you?"

She laugh. Crazy.

"Oh hi Dad. I didn't know that you were there," She rolled her eyes to me. Okay so where is the Yannie I met weeks ago? Why is she being grumpy to me when I'm starting to be friends with her?

I grab her phone and get her Kakaotalk ID.

"Ya! What was that for?" She looked annoyed right now. Hahahaha!

"Let's go home and just talk to me so you won't get bored," I stuck my tongue.

I held her hand to get her up. I ride my bike and gestured her to sit at the back.

She stared on it for minutes and decided to go. I'm waiting for her to hold on my waist but she didn't so I grab her hands and enveloped it on my waist.

"All done! Kaja!" (*Let's go) I said.

I stopped in front of her house. She jumped off and thanked me.

"No worries. Go inside now." She waved at me and walked inside.

I drive my bike faster to get home. I ran upstairs and proceed to my room.

I jumped in bed and composed a message.

"Good bam. -Hanbin" (*Good Night)

Sent.

I suddenly felt sleepy. My phone beeps but I can't open my eyes anymore...
