Chapter 11
Yannie's POV
Three days passed and it seems we're getting closer. You know, Hanbin.
We're communicating through Kakaotalk since the both of us doesn't have enough time to meet.
Rules have changed in the work since Monday. They hired more writers and publish more books. I asked the writers to submit every chapter they're going to finish so I can edit it out immediately.
I heard my phone beeped so I opened the message. Who would dare to message me at 1:03 am?
Yoonjin: Yannie-ah! Don't forget to come this Saturday, okay? I'm rooting for you!
Oh I thought it's Hanbin? I yawned and replied.
Yannie: Of course, of course. I'm not a talksht. ㅋㅋㅋ
Yoonjin: Ya! ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I seen his message and continued my work. My fingers are hurting and my eyes are tired. But its okay since there's a book that is to be published tomorrow. It means less work but I have to overtime today. Proofreading really sucks.
I closed my eyes for a minute and relaxed my fingers. I checked the time on my wrist watch.
01:08 am
Woah. Okay, Yannie. 5 more chapters and you're going! You can do this! Fighting!
I proofread and edited some parts. There are some cliché scenes that needs an edit.
It's a good thing I don't get scared easily. Because if is, I might resign immediately! Thanks to myself for being courageous.
One last chapter and I'm done. I take a sip on my coffee. I almost forgot that I have one here. I focused too much on my job because I wanted to finish it as soon as possible!
--
I made my way out of the building. I decided to walk home since there are less people and vehicles at night. I think it's a bit safe?
A familiar figure of man comes out of the building 5 meters away from me. I looked up and find out its YG ENTERTAINMENT's building.
'It must be Hanbin.'
He looked around and met my eyes. My guts are correct! His brows met after he saw me. He walked through my direction.
'Dugdug dugdug.' My heart slams to my chest.
"Hey... Isn't it too late for a girl to walk alone in the street?" He asked softly. I can't help but to feel fluttered toward his concern. I didn't speak and looked at his eyes instead.
His eyes that melts the inside of me. His eyes that reflects through my soul.
"Follow me. I'll walk you home," He smiled and started walking. I blinked multiple times before I followed.
'What is happening to me...?' I thought to myself.
I walked faster until I reached him. I walk beside him and looked at my shoes.
Silence filled the cold air. It was only me and Hanbin who's here in the street right now. No cars and people chatting, just us.
He put his hand inside his pocket and looked at the sky. "Overtime huh?"
I turned at him, "Yeah. They hired more writers. This is my new schedule since Monday," I laughed.
"That's why you look pale though," I held my cheeks. I'm not pale, am I?
"Stress, probably."
"You shouldn't stress yourself too much. You seem to have a weak immune system," He chuckled and turned to me.
"I am not! I'm strong!" I denied raising my thin biceps.
His smile grew wider showing those cute dimples off.
"Weakly duckling."
"YA!" (*Hey) I shouted. He laughed this time. What's so funny? Hmmp!
"Let's go inside," He grab my wrist and walked inside a mini-stop. I didn't notice it, to be honest.
He ordered 2 cheese burger and chocolate flavored coffee for us. Hey, I just drank coffee minutes ago?
We started eating. I was lost at the thought of being hungry until Hanbin drag me here.
I finished mine first and headed to the cashier. It's now my turn to treat him.
I saw him smile from a distance. I smiled back and walk towards him.
"Let's stay here for awhile," I said. He looked at me and shrugged. I put my chin into my palm and stared outside.
For a moment, I wanted to be with him. Even though he's making my heart beat like crazy. He brings butterflies to my stomach that tickles the inside of me.
I don't know why I like him. I know it's too early. I don't understand myself, sometimes. I've never been like this before in my entire life.
He looked at his phone and smiled. Weird, eh?
"Why are you smiling?"
"Nothing," He smiled, showing his dimples off.
"Really...?" I asked eyeing him.
"Really."
"You're hiding something, are you?"
"No. Hahahaha," He laughed. I grab his phone from his hand.
I opened it and saw an epic picture of me! Good thing he doesn't have password and pin codes with him. The picture was taken just a minute ago when I was staring outside!
I was about to delete it when he snatched it from me.
"YA!" I shouted. The staffs looked at us. I shot him a death glare before I bowed on my embarrassment. He just laughed at me.
He stand up and grab my wrist, "Kaja," (*Let's go) And we walked outside.
I saw my house on a distance and started feeling down.
'We're almost near.'
"Hey, are you mad?" He asked. He held my shoulders to stop me. He raised my chin and looked directly to my eyes.
'Dugdug dugdug.' My heart says.
"I'm sorry, okay?" Worry is visible in his eyes and voice. I turned my gaze to my side and shook my head.
'Why is he doing this?'
He let go of my chin and grab my wrist. An awkward silence filled the air.
We reached home. I asked him to stay for a minute so that he could rest but he insisted. I waved him bye before entering.
I closed the door and feel my chest. I asked myself out of the blue,
"Why?"
