Daniel and I ended up at a fancy restaurant in Beverly Hills which was an attention grabber. The both of us were stared down...
"How did the date go?" I asked him as we were just barely finishing our dinner.
"Meh." Is all he said.
"Meh?" I Asked.
"She's... different. Wasn't expecting her to be so... clenching."
"How so?"
"She seemed overly attached to me and would even go to the bar when we went out for lunch." He Said fiddling with his fork.
"I remember when I was little... I saw adults drinking and I would want to just grab that bottle or can and chuck it as far as possible..." I told Daniel.
"Couldn't relate more."
"My dad... actually died from alcohol poisoning not too long ago. I think a month or two after my graduation. I hate that I left my mom alone in Vancouver." I Added. Daniel stayed quite... knowing how much it hurt me.
"Hey... it's going to be okay." Said, Daniel, as he grabbed my hand and we looked at each other deeply in the eyes. I was falling more for this guy.
"Thanks." I spat out.
"What was his name?" Asked Daniel. I gave it a second. Should I tell him the truth or make up a name.
"Derek," I Said... it wasn't a lie.
I saw Daniel's expression go up a bit, "and your mom?" Asked Daniel. I hesitated. He knew my parents and if I told him then he would know who I truly am!
"We are here with Daniel Seavey and supposedly his girlfriend." Said and reporter. I focused on covering my face.
"Hey dude, not cool." Said, Daniel, as he spotted the medium sized camera recording it all. The restaurant was dimmed and only the candles on the table lit up our faces.
"Hey... let's go." Said, Daniel, as he tapped on my wrist. I looked at him with a nod and we both left the restaurant behind.
We got into the car and Daniel just started to drive... not sure where cause we were heading east and not west which is where we live.
"So... where are we going?" I Asked Daniel who was focused on driving.
"Uh... somewhere. You will see." He Said as he gave me a quick look and then back to the road.
"Okay... I trust you." I told him
Okay, now my gut is turning. We pulled up at a spot up in the hills where there is a stunning view of the city and the sun is setting. I got out of the car and Daniel followed me behind.
"This is beautiful," I Said admiring what I've always dreamt of seeing in person.
"Not as beautiful as you." Said, Daniel, as he stood next to me.
I could feel my cheeks boil to nice red shade. I looked at Daniel in the eyes and gave him a smile.
"Aleea?" Asked Daniel.
"Ya?" I Asked still looking at the pink and orange sky. Daniel didn't say a word, but I could hear his footsteps come closer to me and I turned my head to face his, but suddenly I kept my eyes closed and Daniel gave me a soft kiss on my lips-
"Aleea?" Asked Daniel and I came back to reality... just us standing next to each other while admiring the sunset.
"Sorry... I am just so amazed." I Said laughing.
"It's Fine." He laughed along.
"Do you usually come up here?" I asked him
"Ya... sometimes. It's close to the boys and I's house and I haven't brought anyone up here with me." He stated.
"Am I a first?" I Asked.
"You sure are." Said Daniel with a smile
"I feel honored," I Said in a playful way to make him laugh and indeed he did.
"I like you... you're funny... nice... smart... pretty-"
"Okay... I am going to stop you there." I interrupted him with a giggle.
"But thanks."
