Daniel POV
I picked up clothes off of the ground and stuffed them into a donation box. I dug out some stuff from my closet... well everyone was. My family decided to get rid of stuff and donate it.
My eyes were taken off of what I was doing once a shiny gold photo album fell off the shelf that I just swiped my hand across in search for anything else still up there.
I froze and felt shivers as soon as I realized what it was. I slowly picked it up and then sat on the side of my bed.
There was a light layer of dust on the top of the album. I swiped it away with my hand. The album was so shiny that I could see my expressionless face reflect off of it.
I opened to the first page and was instantly hit with photos.
"Aleea."
I stared into the photos as I flipped through them... examining every single one of them and reliving each event in my head.
I haven't seen her face for a whole year... not even a word to each other. Just to see her face through these photos makes me smile... I miss her.
I was stupid enough to let her walk away like that. We still could've been best friends now... maybe even more.
Aleea POV
"I still can't believe you are moving down to LA," I Said as my mom and I was eating lunch on my balcony.
"I know... I can't wait." She said with a smile.
"Thank you for letting me stay with you for the longest time sweetie." Thanked my mom.
"Anything for you," I said as I gave her a smile and then sipped some of my ice cold water.
My mom's phone started to ring and she excused her self into the apartment.
I was left outside alone...
"Keri invited us over for dinner tonight." Said, my mom, as she walked back out.
"You should go this time... I will stay home," I Responded.
"Aleea... I think it's time to step up in front of them." Said, my mom, as she sat back down.
"I am not ready yet... just go tonight and have fun," I Said standing up.
"Are you sure?" Asked my mom as she followed me back into the house.
"I am sure... but bring me leftovers," I Said giving her a wink at the end.

DANIEL POV
My mom told me that she invited the Sterlings for dinner tonight, but never told me if they were officially coming or not. We invited them
many times, but they are always unavailable. I always felt like they didn't come because of Aleea.
Our doorbell rang and my mom went to go answer it. All of us settled by the dining room table as we wait to see who was there.
The door opened and all we could hear was voices. Soon I watched as my mom and Mrs. Sterling walk into the apartment. My heart rose and I just waited for Aleea to pop up behind them...
"Look who came for dinner!" Said, my mom, as she and Mrs. Sterling stood at the end of the table.
My dad went to go hug April and soon all of us hugged her one after the other...
April spoke as soon as everyone sat down.
"I am sorry that Aleea wasn't able to make it... she's in her apartment working." Said April with a smile.
"That's Fine... we miss her dearly and hope she can visit sometime." Said, my dad, as we got ready to pray.
Fast forward ---->
After dinner, everyone went to the private seating area outside to watch the sunset. I didn't bother to join them... there was only one thing stuck in my mind... Aleea
As soon as everyone left, I sat on the side of my bed with my phone in my hand. What do I do to make things right?
Aleea POV
I was typing down notes on my laptop for no reason. I was bored and wanted something to do.
*phone rings*
I was frightened by the sound of my phone, but I was soon shaking the moment Daniel's name appeared on the screen. I stared down at my phone... do I pick up?
Daniel POV
I felt frustrated by her not answering. I knew she was home. I threw my phone across my room and started my way out of my apartment.
I found myself in front of Aleea's apartment with my finger pushed against the doorbell. I could hear the bell ring around the apartment. I stayed silent...
I could hear gentle footsteps approach her door. I could feel her eyes look at me through the peephole.
"Aleea... please," I said gently. She didn't respond and instead, I heard her loud and fast footsteps run away. I huffed and headed back to my apartment.
Please don't give up on me...
(I hope you guys enjoyed my first chapter back on this book... I ended this book on a harsh note and many people wondering what happened after Aleea walked away from Daniel. Be prepared to hear the rest of the story... expect the unexpected)
