As soon as I knew it had to be Bryan I sprinted to his car. I hurried to the driver's side and looked through the broken window. The door was completely ruined and he was stuck in his spot. My heart dropped at the scene of his bloody face and clothes. He was conscious... not moving, but was visibly breathing.

"Bryan." I cried. He can't die.

"Daniel!" I yelled from a distance. Daniel looked at me with the phone glued to his ear. His eyes grew wider as he saw the panicked look on my face.

"Hey go check on the other car." I heard Daniel tell a stranger on the sidewalk as he rushed towards me.

"It's Bryan," I said crying at this point. Daniel walked to the driver's side to look.

"Oh my god." He Said covering his mouth.

The phone was still on his ear...

"Are the ambulance on their way?" Asked Daniel on the phone. I turned away and looked back at Bryan...
Looking lifeless.

"Bryan... please wake up. You're going to be okay... help is on the way." I Said calmly to him. I wanted to help him, but what could I do? The door is jammed shut... he is covered in blood with cuts all over his face and his seat belt is on the other side of him.

I heard the screams of panic behind me. I turned to face the other wreaked car with two people standing next to it.

"He's dead!" Yelled one the man.

"Oh my god," I Said covering my mouth at the horrific scene of the man in the car resting his head on the airbag. Blood was visible... I felt sick.

I heard Daniel update the lady on the phone ever so often as he stayed by my side. I soon heard sirens down the street and Daniel and I stood in front of Bryan's car.

I watched as all the paramedics and firefighters rushed to both cars. So many things were happening at a time, but I just focused on Bryan...

I watched the firefighter pry the door open with a crowbar and cut Bryan's seat belt away. Two firefighters helped place Bryan on a stretcher and placed a white plastic sheet over his body. They pushed him to the ambulance and behind him was the other man... he was on a stretcher but covered in a yellow sheet... yellow means dead.

"Were you two here to see what happened?" Asked the Police officer as he approached us quickly.

"No, we just saw it afterward... I am sorry." I explained still panicking.

"Thank you, mam'm... are you alright?" The women Asked.

"The guy in the black car is my friend... it's hard to see all of this." I Said with tears still running down my face. Daniel wrapped his arm around me and rubbed my arm.

"I am so sorry sweetie... please come to the hospital to check on him."

"We will."

Daniel and I hurried back to our apartment building and hopped in Daniel's car as he drove us two to the hospital.

"Everything is going to be alright." Said, Daniel, as he placed his hand on my thigh.

"I praying it will be," I Said looking out the car window... the sunset was beautiful tonight...

"I feel like I can never forget this night," I Said placing my hand on top of Daniel's.

"Me either." Replied Daniel.
