"Here we are!" I said as my mom and I entered my apartment.

"Oh my god... this is beautiful! Reminds me of home." She said as she took a big look around.

"Cute huh?" I Asked.

"Of course!" She said with a smile.

"Well... come see your room," I Said as I grabbed one of her suitcases and she grabbed the other as we walked towards the guest bedroom. Luckily I decorated the guest room!

"Woah! That view!" Said, my mom, as she I walked to the balcony which stretches all along our apartment.

"Never get tired of it." I stayed as I joined next to her.

"Thank you." Said, my mom, as she gave me a hug.

"You're welcome... stay as long as you want," I Said with a giggle.

"Will do!"

    My mom is actually staying with me in LA for almost two months. She didn't even hesitate to say "yes".

    But here is the problem... she doesn't know that Keri and her family live right next door... and she doesn't know about me lying about my identity...

"We should go on the beach," I Said as I slowly walked out of the bedroom.

"Sure.. when?" She Asked.

"10 minutes! Get ready." I Said before officially leaving her room and walked over to mine. I am happy that my mom was here with me.

     Suddenly my phone went crazy. I jumped in fear before walking over to it and see who was calling me.

Jack...

"Hey!" I Said as I sat on my bed. We were FaceTiming.

"Hey! It's Jack!" He Said with a smile. I laughed before responding.

"You think I don't know that?" I Asked.

"Right! Well, what's up?" He Asked.

"Just getting ready to go to the beach with my mom," I said with a smile.

"Can I meet your mom?" Asked Jack.

"Sure... don't see why not," I Said as I walked out of my room and my mom was on her phone in the living room.

"Hey Mom... meet Jack," I Said as I brought the phone in front of her face.

"Hi, Jack!" She said as she put all her focus on Jack.

"Hey!-" started Jack

"Mrs. Sterling?" Asked Daniel who popped out of nowhere.

I quickly took the phone away and put myself on mute for a second.

"Give me a second," I Said to my mom with a smile before walking back to my room.

"Sorry about that," I Said as I put my phone on the window ceil and quickly grabbed my swimsuit.

"That's Fine... your mom seems so nice-"

"Was that your mom?" Asked Daniel as he once again interrupted my Jack.

"Yes, it is," I Said with a smile...

"Mrs. Sterling?" Asked Daniel. I bet his heart was racing.

"No, it's actually my mom... Mrs. Meyers." I said... lying to him.

"Oh my gosh... I must be seeing things. I thought that was Aleea Sterling's Mom." Said, Daniel, as he facepalmed and kinda got out of frame. Jack just laughed. Jack is so cute.

"Don't worry about it," I Said laughing along.

"Boys! Time to get going!" Said Tyler in the background.

"Well I will talk to you guys later," I Said with another smile.

"Can't wait!" Said Jack.

"Bye."

"Bye!"

I hung up and huffed before turning off my phone and changed into my bikini.

    Once I was ready, I headed out of my bedroom and met my mom on the balcony.

"Ready?" I Asked.

"I sure am."

My mom and I played some games on the beach and even went for a dip in the water. At the end of the evening, we both sat in the warm sand and admired the sunset together.

"I am glad I still have you." Said my mom softly. My heart melted a bit of love...

"I am glad you're here," I said and she pulled me into a side hug.

"Do think Dad watches us?" I asked as I kept my head rested on her shoulder.

"Of course he does... he watches over both of us."

I felt a tear go down my cheek. My dad was there for me all the time... not as much as my mom, but my dad and I had a close relationship.

"Do you think he's proud?" I Asked.

"Of course... just as proud as I am... sweetie you have done so much. You deserve all of this." Said, my mom, as she rubbed my arm.

"No, I don't," I Said.

"What makes you say that?" She Asked me.

"I lied..."

Silence took over...

"Daniel doesn't know who I am." I spat out.

"What do you mean?" She Asked.

"Daniel and his family are my neighbors and the day I made contact with them again... they didn't remember me at all." I started.

"And what did you do?"

"Played as if I was someone else... I was scared. They didn't remember me a single bit... even when Keri showed me a photo album and I was in it. They even mentioned my name, but not realize that I am actually the girl in the picture."

"Oh, sweetie... what are you going to do?" She Asked.

"I don't know... I am stuck... Daniel and I are best friends again... we are close... but again... he doesn't know who I truly am. If I tell him who I really am... he will never forgive me." I Said looking down at the sand beneath my legs.

"Of course he will..."

"I wish it was like that, Mom."
