**Chapter 20 (Oh My God, Chapter 20 already?!)**

"Mine!" I hollered, my voice echoing into the gym air. I swiped my racket in the air and felt an impact. The birdie swiftly bounced off of the tight racket strings, over the net and into the other team's territory.

Today, Stance was also on my team, again. Somebody managed to hit the birdie instead of letting it drop. It also travelled over the net towards us; towards Stance to be certain. I stared at him, wondering if he'll make the shot. Our score was 14-13. We had 14, so, if Stance serves the birdie back to the other team without having somebody receive the birdie, we'll win.

Stance brought his strong and broad arm back, along with his racket. He swung it forward with all of his might and it went sailing over the net, landing softly and silently onto the floor. Coach Hannah blew her whistle and it sunk in that we had won.

Stance pumped his fist into the humid air and whooped loudly, smiling directly at me. I also let out a whoop of my own.

"Take notes!" Stance shouted in my direction. He winked as well. I rolled my eyes. Coach Hannah blew her whistle again, receiving everybody's full attention.

"The next player being guaranteed a spot on the team is Stance Howard. Now, hit the showers; y'all smell." She spoke in her accent. Stance let out another loud whoop and I shouted congratulations in his direction, like everybody else.

Now, at least I'll be assured that I'll know somebody on the team. Everybody trudged their ways to the separate changing rooms, whereas Stance was literally bouncing off of the walls. I was about to walk inside the girl's changing rooms as well until I noticed two people, one of which who was surrounded by three girls from my team this practise along with another girl, but her back was to me so I couldn't recognize her. Although, the first one was somewhat ignoring the girls and they were both talking to Stance. I squinted my eyes in thought when I saw that the two people were, in fact, Colin and Cameron.

I was about to make a mad dash towards the changing rooms as I smelt terrible and looked terrible too, but Stance saw me and just had to wave me over.

"Later!" I hollered, not wanting to go over there, not just because of my appearance but because Cameron was there and I didn't want to blow up at him in front of everybody.

Of course, my insensitive shouting caused for Cameron and Colin to notice. On normal occasions, my eyes would lock with Cameron's, but this time they held their gaze with somebody else; Rexie.

What was she doing here? That was when I noticed her hand, which had snaked it's way around Cameron's built waist. Of course. When she spotted me, she turned as pale as the white shirt Cameron was sporting. Cameron's hair was tousled and his lips were swollen; he looked exactly like when we kissed. Rexie was mirroring the same appearance. I was absolutely revolted at the sight.

Cameron dared to kiss me and then went and kissed another girl after that? It just wasn't right, especially since Rexie was my ex-best friend. Ignoring the two people who screwed my life up in more than one way, I made my way to Colin and Stance. I faked a smile.

I will not cut his dick off and sow it to Rebecca's forehead.
I will not cut his dick off and sow it to Rebecca's forehead.

I chanted the same sentence over and over in my mind.

"What are you doing here?" I asked quizzically. Colin faked a hurt expression.

"Aren't I allowed to drop by to see your practises?" At that, I let out a half-hearted laugh.

"You play well." Cameron's deep and rough voice rang out. I turned towards him, my small smile now gone. I scowled at Cameron and Rexie. At least Rexie had the decency to detangle herself from him.
