CHAPTER 11: The Brawl

Football Field

A quarter into the game, the score being 21 - 7, our school winning, DJ speaks up, "Clay! Remember the guy from that school that likes running his mouth about me?", "Yeah, why?", Clay asks, "He's here.", DJ says with a mischievous grin. "Y'all cmon!", Clay says as he gets up to see if they can find the guy running his mouth, and we walk the track around the field. We get to their side and someone with short blonde hair (almost a buzz cut), shoulders against DJ and he turns around, "Hey fuckface!", and with that, the boy turns around. "What's good Kyle? Gonna do something or stand there? I heard you've been running that mouth like a little bitch!", and Kyle swings, DJ jumps backwards, grabs Kyle's hand, twists it to hear a snap, then throat punches him, knocking him back. But he gets up for more, and speaks as he's doing it. "Get'em!", and one of his friends jumped in after DJ. Clay handed me his phone which was recording, then he rips his shirt off and runs to the extra target DJ had. They held their own very well, and another one of Kyle's friends come in, then Tatsuya jumps in right after the extra guy. By now it is a mosh pit, and I hear, "Move asshole! My friend's are in a fight with your friends and I wanna see who's winning!", I turn around to see Roger standing next to a bigger guy, "Why not find out yourself?", they boy said as he socks Roger in the jaw. Roger grips his shirt, laughs, and drags him into the moshpit. Two more boys from the away school come in, one hits me, causing me to drop Clays phone and crack it. My gun reaction was to hit back, he made me damage my friend's phone, so I swung back without hesitation. Then, before I knew it, I, myself, was in the moshpit, as well as Chuck, fighting the other boy who jumped in. A teacher eventually tried to break it up, he was yelling and screaming and grabbing boys that had shirts on by the collar, then Ross punches him so hard his glasses break. Once everyone finally fights their adrenaline out, the other guys have busts, cuts, bruises, and wounds all over. We go back to the bleachers, and Clay stops to look for his phone and can't find it. So he goes to get Tatsuya to call it, and as soon as he asks, Tatsuya almost pees himself from laughter. "Looking for this?", Nicole asks with a giggle whilst waving Clay's phone.
