CHAPTER 146: Malice

"Walk with me.", Clay says to Lucas with a cryptic energy about him. They walk up to where Clay had taken a life. "You know what happened here?", he asks. "This is where you lost your virginity?", Lucas boldly jokes, before Clay stares at his brother with hatred. "No you stupid bitch, this is where Darwin was killed!", he screams. Lucas is taken aback, metaphorically and physically, seeing as he took a single step back and stared at Clay. "This is where you killed him.", Lucas repeats back to him. "Yeah, and it's where you'll pay for this war you've caused, you killed my humanity, and you killed our brothers!", after this last scream, Clay punches Lucas in the gut, then uppercuts him. Lucas, on the ground, tries crawling backward and away from Clay. Clay wouldn't let up though, dragging him by a leg. He kept beating on him and beating on him until eventually, Lucas got away and stood up. "Want a fight? I'll give you a run for your money, I've had plenty of practice.", he said. "Oh, we're just getting started here little bro.", Clay says before throwing a valiant, high velocity fist towards Lucas's hairline. He dodges Clay's attempt to hit him, retaliating with an elbow to Clay's sternum. "You have gotten better! Sadly you won't be around long enough to show us just how good.", Clay says, "All I have to do is not give up, and I won't! No matter what you do to me, I will persevere.", Lucas remains calm within his statement. "You have to survive!", Clay says as he spears Lucas into a tree, it wasn't a big tree but it isn't a tree at all, now that the two brothers broke it. Lucas used his surroundings as a defense mechanism against Clay's attacks, smacking him in the arm with a branch. Clay only started hitting him harder, blows to the face, chest, and stomach. They tussle on the ground, kicking and punching, elbows and legs flying into the air, then swooping back down in prayer that the swings connect.
