CHAPTER 19: Clay Bursted Lucas's Bubble

Chelsea's house

Clay knocks on the front door, and a small framed, mustached, tanned man opens it, then chuckles as he says quietly, "Gay.", then he shouts for his daughter. "Chelsea! Clay's here with one of y'all's friends!", and Chelsea walks out with another girl about the same size as her, "Well hey Clay! And hey! Uh.... Blake?", Chelsea says, "Drake.", Clay and I say in unison. "Hello Clay. You don't talk to me anymore, you ass.", the other girl says, "I know Laura, but how long have you been here?", Clay asks, then the girl who I assume is Laura speaks again, "I've been here.... let's see.... three? Four weeks? I've been here a while.", "Why?", Clay asks, "Because her mom's being a bitch, so Deddy's letting her stay with us until her and her mom talk this over.", Chelsea responds before Laura can say anything, "And it takes twenty something days to talk about something?", Clay says with fluent smartassery, "She blocked her number. Her own fucking daughters number.", Chelsea says, she sounds pissed. "Oh shit. Well, I'm going through Step One with Drake right now, so I'll catch you later. I've gotta go get Lucas, we're already about twenty minutes late.", Clay says, then Laura buts in, "Where's he at? I wanna see Lucas.", "Blackburns, I think that's her name.", I finally speak up. "Oh okay.", Chelsea says, and Clay gives both girls a hug, then we leave. We get back to Blackburns's house and we walk right in her bedroom to find her and Lucas making out. "Oh... heeeey gaaaang.", Blackburn says with a giggle, "Hey....", Clay says, disgusted. "We gotta go Lucas. Load up.", and Lucas kisses his girlfriend one last time before telling her bye. We leave and start to head out, and before any music starts playing Clay speaks. "You finally man up brotha?", "Shut up.", Lucas says with a giggle, "Well, three things.", Clay says before Lucas plugs in his phone. "What homie?", Lucas asks irritatedly, "One, I wanna spar with you before we take Drake home tomorrow," Clay begins, "two, I'm playing Slipknot as property of visiting Chelsea.", "Of course.", Lucas interrupts, "Shut up. Third one is worse for you.", Clay gives a warning, "Oh God. What is it?", Lucas asks, "I'm going to Gran's house.", "Why? You know I hate it over there.", Lucas asks, "I know, but I've gotta show him Ross's house, and since she lives close to Ross, and I'm there a quarter of the time I'm not at school or with a friend, he needs to know where it is."
