CHAPTER 18: Step One (pt. 2)

Clay's Car

He floors it until he gets to a four-way stop with only a sign, and then turns left onto another paved road with multiple houses. The second one on the right is yellowish with a green roof, that's the one we turn to. We go in and Clay yells once he's out of the car, "Bethyyyyy!", and a petite, tomboy looking brunette girl walks out, claws Clay's arm and says, "Hey bubbaaaa." Then tries to force an innocent grin. "You're not innocent,", Clay chuckles, "you're satan's step-grandchild.", and Lucas laughed and said, "What the fuck?", after everyone settles down, Clay asks the group of us, "Wanna walk down to Lex's?", and everyone agrees. We walk three houses down, and knock on the door. A girl a little smaller and shorter than Clay, but looks a lot like him, even the same haircut, opens the door. "Whaddup motherfuckers?!", she said, "Alexis Richards. Not much, what about you?", Lucas said, "Dude. It's Lex. But not much, anybody got a dip?", and I giggle to myself, remembering that she was one of the three that stole Roger's dip can. Once we leave Lex's house, we make our way to Blackburns, and we get out and I notice Lucas instantly runs to her, there may be something between them. Clay told Blackburn about the spar match, and Blackburn slaps us both on top of the head. Me, for the hook, and Lucas, for wanting to spar. We leave Lucas there after hanging out for a little while, we played truth or dare, Clay and I quit when Lucas got dared to kiss Blackburn. "We'll come back to pick you up before 9!", Clay said before gassing it out of the driveway in reverse. Beth went with us because we went to  Will's house, we didn't stay long, but I got to get introduced to Will. He seems pretty cool when he's not attempting to suck his girlfriend's flesh off her face. We made one last stop before picking Lucas back up, and it was Chelsea's house.
