Grant's Pass East Medical Center
After about three days in ICU, Duke wakes up and takes the ventilator out of his mouth by hand. He gets up and walks around, I'm guessing to find out where he's at and who's there. It happens about four in the morning, all but DJ, Danny, and I are asleep. "Guys?", Duke moans in soreness, "Welcome back.", Danny calls out to Duke, "You're awake!", DJ says as he glows with excitement. "What happened?", Duke worryingly asks, "We'll have to have Chuck talk to you. You got banged up pretty bad but we won't stand for it. I'm not fixing Thor's car until he does something about this.", DJ claims. "That will only make matters worse.", I quietly argue. "You're not the one fixing it are you? Alright then.", DJ snarls. I refuse to argue and lay down to get some shut eye. I'm woken by Clay jingling his keys beside my face, "Dude, stop being annoying.", I beg, "Get your ass up,", Clay demands, "we're going to the estate, there's a meeting.", "Ugh.", I groan, "Alright, Alright I'm awake.", I get up and dust myself off to get ready. We leave the hospital and drive to the estate. Clay's car is packed full between Chelsea, Xavier, Chuck, he and I. "You drive slow. We're gonna be late.", Chelsea complains, "Quit bitching, we're almost there.", says Clay as we pull into the familiar road where the Estate is. About five minutes later we pull in, we were the ones they were waiting on. "You're late.", barks Thor as soon as the door closes behind us. "Drake wouldn't wake up and Xavier had to shit before we left his house. Gimme a break man, this is my first time.", Clay asks, "Alright. Sit.", Thor demands.
